Spread Your Wings and Fly

While I’m on a roll, I crossed over from Friday to Saturday and decided to write Saturday’s poem as the shroud of sleep descends upon me as surely as the moon smiles mysteriously from above… 😉

A cycad butterfly dances and twirls round and round on a large torch ginger flower in an orang asli village, in Ulu Gombak, Kuala Lumpur.

Spread Your Wings and Fly

Spread your wings and fly
Feel the air under your wings
Wave as the birds fly by
Soar as their voices sing

Rise above the clouds, go higher
Let your doubts melt away
Spread your wings and go further
Be someone’s shining light today

Jump and plunge from the dizzying cliffs
Only to glide effortless above the water’s edge
To be the one who supports, carries and lifts
Uplift somebody’s life today; help them off their ledge
