    Student, photographer, and WordCamp Organizer & Speaker from Kathmandu, Nepal. Actively contributing to the WordPress ecosystem through photography, translations, community events, and open-source initiatives. Passionate about travel and celebrating Nepal through the lens of the world.

    WordPress Origin Story

    My WordPress story starts at WordCamp Nepal, which I first attended at age five alongside my father, Yam B. Chhetri, and the co-founders of WordPress Nepal. I grew up around the community and eventually went from sitting in the audience to contributing myself.

    Today I moderate the WordPress Photo Directory, translate into Nepali, and mentor new contributors through the Credits program. I’ve published four plugins and a block pattern, and I was also chosen for the Yoast Care Fund.

    In 2026, I served as a Photo Judge for the WordPress Nepal Photo Festival, reviewing more than 3,300 photos. I’ve also been Photos Table Lead at Contributor Day for WordCamp Kathmandu and WordCamp Rajshahi, and a speaker at WordCamp Nepal, Pokhara, Kathmandu, and Rajshahi.

    Closer to home, I co-organize the WordPress Pokhara Meetup and help organize the same WordCamps I attended as a kid, including WordCamp Nepal 2027.

    WordPress has been with me for most of my life.
