An open post for [livejournal.com profile] deponti with my Alhambra pictures

([personal profile] pondhopper Feb. 3rd, 2012 01:22 am)
A repeat of a post from earlier this week...but open so some non-LJ friends can see it.
:)

Remember these arches I posted last week?

The Alhambra is all about arches Multiple arches
The Alhambra is all about arches
Simple arches with views

Arched lookouts
Arched lookouts
Layers of arches
Layers of arches
Big and small
Big and small
The city below through an arched window
The city below through an arched window
Or through several windows
Or through several windows
Arched corners full of alabaster filigree
Arched corners
Columns inside arches
Columns inside arches
Horseshoe inside horseshoe
Horseshoe inside horseshoe
Mysterious arched alcoves
Mysterious arched alcoves
In front, behind and sunlight and shadow arches
In front, behind and sunlight and shadow arches
Graceful columns with arches
Graceful columns with arches
And little arched windows high above
And little arched windows high above
Frothy arches and stained glass peeking through. A fitting room for a sultan's wife..or wives.
Frothy arches
Dome and arches in harmony

and they even come in delightful pairs.

Reminds me of pretty lace. There's this one lacey dress I want so badly, but even I can't justify buying it....... (sigh)

Yes it is very lacy in many places. You should treat yourself!

I think that is the most intensely beautiful place I have ever been.

Thank you so much for taking us there!

Thank you for going with us!
:)

It is overwhelmingly beautiful, I think.

It was a delight to look through these pics again. It has to be one of the wonders of the world.

I'm glad you like them, Josie. It's amazingly, overwhelmingly beautiful.

I thought I had commented this but I have not. More gorgeous picture of that place. The view through the window is beautiful!

You did comment! This is a repeat of the same post I made last week but not locked so some non-LJ people could see it. So there are two posts the same.
:)

Hi Rich, glad you like the photos. It's a beautiful place.

I did an adjustment of my friend's list some time back and removed people who just weren't active here any more...and you weren't posting and haven't for a good long while.
:(
I just wanted you to know it wasn't a personal thing. LJ for me is a sharing, give and take so...
If you ever do become active again, please let me know.

Not to worry, Lisa mentioned that and nothing personal is inferred. :) I just don't think I'm much of a blogger but things could change.

Thanks and I hope things are going well for your family and overall circle.

I LOVE Alhambra, though I really only know of it from the tabletop board game. We're hoping to visit Spain possibly next year, and perhaps we'll get to visit it!
