Simple, effective, and exactly what I needed
This is a great plugin for websites where comments are not needed. It is very easy to set up, works immediately, and removes comment-related features from both the WordPress admin area and the front end. I like that it also disables pingbacks and hides unnecessary comment sections, widgets, and menu items, which helps keep the dashboard cleaner and easier to manage. One important thing to remember is to enable the “Disable all comments” option in the plugin settings. Once this option is turned on, the plugin works exactly as expected and disables comments across the entire website.

Doesn't actually disable comments
All it does is hook into the admin to hide comments control, and stop pages from displaying comments....basically another layer of code that has to be loaded and run for every single requests.
