Maze Book

I made a couple of these little Maze books
recently to pop some photos of my
Grandkids in.

You get one book from a 12" x12" sheet of paper.
Super quick and easy to make
and great for eating into your stash!

You can watch my video tutorial here

I finished them off with a matching box
to store them and make into a
perfect little keepsake.

I used papers from an old pack from
Basic Grey called Sultry.
I teamed it up with brown card
and braiding for the closure.
The stamp set is called
Part of my Story (SU).

Measurements needed to make one
12" x 12" paper score at 3", 6", 9".
Turn right and repeat same score lines. Board for covers - 3" x 3" Dsp for cover - 4" x 4" 20" piece of ribbon and two smaller pieces at 2 1/2" (optional)

Gift Card Purse

My stash buster project today is these little
purse type gift card holders or cash,
whatever your preference.

My first one has been laminated then stitched
which was not easy as it made it very slippery
but I like the rough look 😂
This one is obviously for a birthday.
The flowers and leaves have been stamped and coloured
with markers using a set called Floral Essence.
The paper is from my stash and is from We R Memory Keepers.

My next one I didn't laminate and the stitching was much better
but I found the card took a bit of abuse when opening
the popper closure whereas the one that was laminated
opened very easily.
This was has been made for someone passing their
driving test.
I used a stamp set from We R Memory Keepers teen angst
called road trip.

This one was my practise one and I stupidly
added my popper closure before running it through
my sewing machine and the stitching was all over the show.
So I punched out some paper daisies, cut them in half
and stuck over the stitched area.
I stamped, punched and coloured the butterflies from
a set called Butterfly Gala and the papers are from my stash.
No name but they have gorgeous glittery leaves.
I think it might have come from Lidl.

You can watch my video tutorial here

Spring clean!

Happy Monday.
I have delved into more of my ribbon mess and this time
I made a quick video of things to helps with
different sized reels and a quick and easy method
to get through to the end quicker!!

This was my second drawer, and thankfully my last!
And this is how it cleaned up

If you are like me you will have off cuts of ribbon
no longer on a spool and they can be so
tangled and messy, so......

I ordered myself some bone shaped bobbins
along with some clips to hold them on.
Very cheap off Amazon and they did the job great.
I still have about 25 left for future left overs.

You can watch my quick video here

Feeling very organized!!

Double angled pillar card!

I was inspired to make this card when I saw a lovely card my crafty friend
Carol made recently. Carol had followed a tutorial from Iced Images
for a right angled pillar card.
So I went to check it out and as I watched the tutorial this designed
popped into my head so I went about making a double angled
pillar card.
The first one I made is a 2" x 2" panel but I thought it stuck out too much
so I went back to the drawing board and came up with this one.

See how my pillar is half the depth of the previous one?
It also still folds flat even with the two angles
and fits into a 6" envelope.

I have a tutorial you can watch to make this particular one
with the double angles and smaller pillar

Stash Buster 1

As some of you know, I am in the process of using up a lot of
my stash making mini albums, cards and boxes.
So this weekend I decided I would hunt down
some very old tutorials by various artists,
which I will give credit to of course,
and remake them with my stash!

So my first one is from The Crafty Thinker from way back
in 2017. It had no video tutorial so I thought I would do one.

As you can see this makes up into a cute gift package for
some kit kat bars.
It uses one sheet of card and a strip of fancy paper.

You can watch my video here

Measurements needed
Card - a4 x 11"

Sweet Treat Box

I had a box to make for an upcoming birthday so decided
to do a wee tutorial while I was at it.
I saw the original tutorial from a lady called
Crafty Little Miss K over on YouTube.
I have changed the score lines to make it a bit easier to follow
and changed the inside flap to make it open easier,
but other than that it follows her design.

I used black card and Country Woods for this one as it is
for a masculine birthday.
The sentiment came from a retired set called
Tiny Keepsakes.

I popped a candle in there to show how deep it is.
It is a 2" square box.

You can watch my tutorial here

Measurements needed to make one
Black card - 6" x 10"
Score 6" side - 2", 4"
Score 10" side - 2", 4", 6", 8"

Cluster Embellishments

Today I have made some cluster embellishments for
my cards and mini albums.

These are such good fun to make.
So quick and easy and great for using up scraps
or left over stamped pieces from other projects.

The country birdhouse stamps and dies

It's been such a busy week here for us.
Between babysitting, sports days and helping with MIL it's
all go. Now hubby has sore throat so hopefully nothing comes of it!
Apparently there is a bad outbreak of COVID in the hospitals along
with the Norovirus!
Be careful out there!

D.I.Y Embellishments

While making my mini albums I kind of struggled when
it came to decorating them, especially if the paper pack didn't have
anything suitable to cut up.

So I decided to make my own.
I  choose the Country Birdhouse stamp and die bundle
and just went to town.
I made small envelopes using the envelope punch board
to hold a tag and decorated it up.

You can add an appropriate sentiment depending on your project.
These would be perfect for decorating up a card as well
as an album.

I did do a quick tutorial but of course it depends on
the stamps and dies you intend to use.

Girlie Gift Bag

My video tutorial today will be my final one for a while.
I will still be crafting away but just not making videos.
They take up a lot of my time and I am ready for a wee break
plus my Saturday class takes a bit of prep time too!

This little bag was made to hold a brush and comb set for my
Granddaughter Aimee.

It would make a lovely gift bag for a variety of items though.
I did use die cuts to add her name to the front but didn't photo that🙈
