Summer Garden

I made another folio to use up some stash
and the basic album was made up from
some white envelopes.
The papers were from
We R Memory Keepers and they came with
little envelopes, words tags etc.
I added lace, metal corners,
washi tape and flowers from
my stash to help dress it up.
I used a stamp set called
Love this Moment (SU),
one from Studio Light grunge stamps
and butterflies from Winged Delights
AALL & Create.

You can watch a flip through here

I will be filling this one with photos
of any craic we have during the summer
in the garden.

Holiday album

Finally got a chance to put together a little album
for our recent holiday to Fuerteventura.

I used some old envelopes and papers from
We R Memory Keepers (I think).
Stamp set used - Tabs for everything (SU)
and embellishments cut from the paper
and some from Nitwits collections.

I used a ribbon for the closure and lots of bits
and pieces I saved from the trip.

Birthday boy!

This card has been made for my Son Deaglan's birthday
which is on the 21st of this month.

I have used papers from We R Memory Keepers,
stamps from Beyond Stamping #5
and IndigoBlu Magazine
colour with markers and the fancy
interactive (peep hole/kaleidscope) inside is from a tutorial from
Emilia Sieradzan on Facebook.
I used oval dies and circle punches.

I put a  photo of him inside the little peep hole
which reveals when fully opened.

Traveller's Notebook

My Grandson Tom is turning 12 next month
and along with a regular card I decided
to make him this traveller's notebook.
He is very into story writing and sketching so
I thought a wee ideas book would be useful.

It is pretty thick and holds a lot.
I was inspired by a die set from Sizzix
but unfortunately it is one of those thick dies
and my machine will not take those.
So I watched a video by Eileen Hull
where she shows you how to put the book
together and I just made my own measurements
and made the above.
You can watch a quick walkthrough video here

For this book I have used
papers from We R Memory Keepers
Alphabet Dies from Simply Made Crafts
Elastic and some handmade notebooks.

Tagalong midway post

It's time to share my midway post for our challenge
where the theme is numbers or anything goes.

For my tag I went with a pocket at the side
with a window at the front.
I used orange card for the base.
I used quite a few stamps set to decorate including
Tags for everything, love this moment and
Happy Birthday (SU)
AAll & Create - foilage.
The papers are scraps from We R Memory Keepers
and I also used a circle punch (SU)
and Elizabeth Crafts Dies for the side holder.
The tag itself was punched using
very best trio punch (SU).

For my ATC I used a stamp set from
Beyond Stamping for the baby.
He will be some boy to move those blocks lol.

I punched some blocks and stamped the numbers
using a set called Alphabest (SU).
The sentiment was made on my label printer.
I added some kraft card for the floor
and embossed it on my embossing board.
I finished with small numbers using
Make a Difference (SU) and added some faux
stitching.
Everything was coloured up with markers.

Pretty Gift Box tutorial

I made this box recently for my Mother-in-law's birthday.
It was filled with her favourite chocolates.

I used mirri card for the bottom and papers from an old stack
from We R Memory keepers for the lid.
I had some nice blue ribbon which made a lovely big bow.
I cut out a die shape and stamped the sentiment and name
using Happy Birthday to You and Alphabest stamp sets (SU).
I cut some birds from the leftover papers to decorate.

As I haven't done a box tutorial for ages I decided
to give the old grey matter a shake and do one!

I did make it smaller than my first one but you can make this box
any size you want and the design will work.

For this one I used papers from Paper Discovery and some
co-ordinating card for the base from my stash.
It was decorated using punched flowers and leaves.
The sentiment was stamped using Itty Bitty Birthdays (SU)
and finished with some gems.

You can watch my tutorial here

Measurements needed to make this size
Paper - 5 3/4" x 8 1/4"
Card - 5 3/4" x 8 1/4"
Score all sides on both at 1 3/4"

Wet and murky day today with leaves lying everywhere
after yesterday's heavy rain.
Clean up on aisle four 😂
Have a lovely week and thanks for dropping by.

Be happy!

I made another little brad bound book,
this time for myself.
I have filled it with lots of inspirational
saying that I have been collecting for a few years.

I just wanted something I could dip into
when I needed and I am quite pleased
with the finished book.

You can watch a quick flip through here

The papers I used are from  an old pack from
We R Memory Keepers called Promenade Pinwheel.
It has been laminated and I used brads as my
binding so I can add more if I want to.
The closure is a simple elastic with a little
flower attached.
Inside I have used lots of lace from my stash
and used an SU butterfly punch, using the leftover
papers, to keep the butterfly theme throughout.
I did add a few pages of vellum which has been
border embossed using an old folder from
Crafter's Companion.

It's absolutely miserable out there today.
Even the house is in darkness!
A day for the craft room me thinks 😑

Double day!

It's time for our midway post over at
where this month's theme is
summer blooms or anything goes.

We do have a lovely prize up for grabs so come and join us!

For my card I used set number 229 - blooming field
from AAll & Create.
The paper I used for the background is a very old one
from We R Memory Keepers. It's actually a 12" x 12" sheet
which I had to carefully cut down so I could get
that lovely frame to work for my a5 card.
I covered the joins with butterflies and it worked out well.
The flowers were stamped, coloured with markers
and cut out.
I stamped the sentiment below and added a ribbon
to the flower stem.
For the sentiment I punched  (SU) out the shape twice,
once in cream and again in pink.
I added some tails of the same ribbon underneath
the sentiment.
To finished I added some sequins to the butterflies.

It's also time for our midway post over at
and the theme is sun, sea, sand or anything goes.

We have a lovely prize up for grabs here too!

For my card I have used an embossing folder
from Crafters Companion called Charming Coral.
I embossed it onto blue card then ran my
white ink pad over the top to pick up the embossing.
The stamp set is called Marine Life
from Globleland (Amazon).
It's a one piece stamp so I stamped it out then
cut out and coloured up the ones I wanted.
I used a die cut circle for the centre, added
my sentiment from a set called Sending Support (SU)
then filled up the gaps with the shells.
Before sticking the circle in place I wrapped
the blue card with some netting.
I finished it off with the coloured up items.

Double Post

Our July challenge has started at
and this month the theme is
summer blooms!

Our prize this month is just amazing
so be sure and get your entries in!

I have actually used one of these sets for my card today
called Sent with Love by AALL & Create.

I decided to go with a twisted card shape and made
a gift card pocket and card combined.
You can see the tutorial I used here.

My background paper is from We R Memory Keepers
and I started with that for my front and insides.
I stamped the script directly onto my paper
then stamped, coloured and cut the roses and leaves
and 3d onto my card.
The flowers were coloured with markers.

I stamped the smaller rose then cut and coloured it
and added to the inside.
The sentiment is from a set called Country Birdhouse (SU).

Our July challenge has also started over at
WE LOVE STAMPING
and the theme this time is
Sea and Sand!

We have a gorgeous prize up for grabs
so come and join us!!

As I had this card shape in my brain I decided to do one
for this challenge as well.

The papers are from We R Memory Keepers.
Again I used one sheet, flipping the paper to combine
the two designs.
I stamped the relaxing man (A Good Man SU), onto a piece of linen
texture card, inking the sky, sea and sand.
I stamped the man again and cut and coloured him
and layered on top.
Using another stamp set (Fun in the Sun WOJ), I added the crab and
sunshine.
On the left I made a sign post and added
my two sentiments.

Inside I stamped the sand castle from Fun in the Sun set
onto a die cut circle and coloured it in with markers.

Butterfly dreams

I took a little time out to decorate my mini book
from my tutorial last week.
This one has a butterfly theme as
I had a little drawer full of butterfly stickers.
The quotes are from an old Hunkydory Book and I
stamped a few from a set called Foliage
from AALL & CREATE and Stampin' Up! Butterfly Gala
and matching punch.

As it's so small I couldn't hold it and take photos
so you can see the insides on this
quick video.

Gift Card Purse

My stash buster project today is these little
purse type gift card holders or cash,
whatever your preference.

My first one has been laminated then stitched
which was not easy as it made it very slippery
but I like the rough look 😂
This one is obviously for a birthday.
The flowers and leaves have been stamped and coloured
with markers using a set called Floral Essence.
The paper is from my stash and is from We R Memory Keepers.

My next one I didn't laminate and the stitching was much better
but I found the card took a bit of abuse when opening
the popper closure whereas the one that was laminated
opened very easily.
This was has been made for someone passing their
driving test.
I used a stamp set from We R Memory Keepers teen angst
called road trip.

This one was my practise one and I stupidly
added my popper closure before running it through
my sewing machine and the stitching was all over the show.
So I punched out some paper daisies, cut them in half
and stuck over the stitched area.
I stamped, punched and coloured the butterflies from
a set called Butterfly Gala and the papers are from my stash.
No name but they have gorgeous glittery leaves.
I think it might have come from Lidl.

You can watch my video tutorial here
