Birthday crosses

I had a birthday card to make for a Priest
recently and this is what I came up with.

The background paper (SU) was wrapped
with some lace then run through my sewing machine.
Next I used a Tutti Designs die to cut
the arch in white then recut to get the crosses
in the matching paper.
I glued onto a page blue background
and layered up with the crosses and
some pearls.
I stamped the sentiment using a set called
Timeless Tulips.
Next I added some flowers cut from
some old SU papers and I coloured
them up with markers and
stuck in place.
His name was generated on my computer.
I finished by adding two gems to the top.

Some snippets!

My crafting area was steadily getting smaller and smaller
so thought it was time to have a quick clear up.

Unfortunately I got distracted when I found these scraps
and decided to make an ATC instead of dumping them.

I had been playing around a few weeks ago with
the tulips and the watery background but didn't like it.
But thought I could chop it up to fit my ATC.

It was tricky lol because of the size I had to work with
but I got there in the end and it's
fairly presentable!!

The tulips are from a set called Timeless Tulips (SU).
The background was made using one of my
glass blocks with inks added and spritz with
water.

Double Post

This month is just flying in and I am so behind
in my projects!
Thankfully I did have my DT ones for March
made before I went on holidays.

Our challenge over at
has a Spring/anything goes theme.

We do have a lovely prize
so make sure and get your entries in.

For my card I used an old stamp set from SU called
Timeless Tulips. I stamped and masked so I could do
two different colours.
I added some matching ribbon beneath my
yellow mat and finished with a sentiment
and some heart gems.

For my card I used an old stamp set from SU called
Stylish Sketches. I formed my layers using
green card, dotty green paper, lace and ribbon
and then stamped and coloured my ducks
with markers,
and used my rectangle dies to cut out.
I added clouds and grass and finished
with a sentiment using another stamp set
called Welcome Easter
with two matching gems to finish.

Spring Flowers!

I have been missing in action for what seems like ages
but I have been sick as a parrot.
First I got a V & D virus.
That floored me for a couple of days.
Then I got a head cold immediately after
and it has since become a sinus infection.
I am worn out completely.
Finally got an antibiotic yesterday
and don't start me on the hurdles
I had to jump to get speaking to
a doctor. Seriously!!
But hopefully I will be on the mend
by Monday and play a bit of catch up.

It's time for my midway post for our
Spring Flowers/anything goes at

For my tag I  punched out a plain piece of card
with my Best Trio Punch (SU) and rounded
the bottom corners too.
I then inked the background in blue ink.
Next I used an old SU stencil to add some
 crystal paste to two corners.
I then stamped the other two corners using
a stamp set from Visible Image called
Grunge Tones in yellow.
I stamped, coloured and die cut the flowers
and teapot using a set called Country Flowers (SU).
Before sticking in place I stamped the small
flowers in black.
I finished with a ribbon.

For my ATC I used two stamp sets called
Timeless Tulips and Fable Friends.

I created the background by mixing inks
from IndigoBlu and Distress inks.
I brushed some gold ink around the edges
and then stamped, coloured and cut the tulips
using markers.
I stuck them in place then splattered some
white ink over the top.
I stamped and cut the sentiment
and placed over the flowers.

Our new challenge them over at
has begun and the theme this month is
Welcome Spring!

Again we have a lovely prize up for grabs
so be sure and join us!!

For my Welcome Spring card I have used a stamp
from Penny Black Slapstick called Soft Spoken.
I die cut squares in yellow and smaller ones in white
and stamped the flower head, off setting in each square.
I coloured them up with markers.
As this is a large card I cut out some yellow for the base
then ran a slightly smaller mat through an embossing folder
from Sheena Douglas on the top half
and used my embossing board to add lines to the bottom half.
After layering up my squares I positioned in the top half
and added a bow and stamped sentiment.
As it still looked a bit bare I added some gold gems.

I also finished the inside of this one
stamping the flowers along the bottom and colouring.

Flower Box Card

My only living Aunt's birthday is coming up next month
and I like to make her a special card so I went with a
Flower Box card.
The tulips and leaves have all be stamped and fussy cut
and the stems were cut from green card.
I stamped and coloured a little butterfly
and added ribbon, gems and a circle sentiment.

It folds flat for posting and fits into an 8" x 8" envelope.

I even had room for a nice verse on the back.

I used Flower Box Card dies from Cardmaking Magic,
Timeless Tulips stamp set (SU),
Highland Heather, Garden Green, Sweet Sorbet and Bubble Bath inks (SU),
Garden Green and lilac card from my stash, organza ribbon
and gems and the papers are called
Delightfully Eclectic (SU).

We are sitting in the eye of the storm at the minute.
The lights are flickering so expecting the electric to go soon.
So far we have lost some cladding from the side of the house
and the chimney is struggling.
My son has a tree down, my other son has fence down
and their neighbour's roof has started to come down!
So scary and dangerous. I hope everyone is keeping
indoors and away from falling debris!

Side view.

And it folds flat!

It's time for our March challenge over at

STAMPING SENSATIONS

and this month the theme is

Stamp Something For Spring!

We have a lovely prize up for grabs so come and join us.

For my card today I have used a lovely new die set from
Card Making Magic called Flower Box & Card.
I have cut the base out using Soft Seafoam card,
layering it up with white and blushing bride card and some paper
from sunshine and rainbows paper pack (SU).
I then stamped the tulips, stems and leaves from
Timeless Tulips stamp set using soft seafoam,
fresh freesia, pale papaya, rococo rose and old olive ink pads.
Each piece has been cut and added to the card.
I die cut some butterflies from the Brilliant Wings dies (SU).
The sentiment is from Dressed to Impress stamp set (SU).
I made a little bunch of tulips to embellish the front
and added a little felt bow. Some wink of stella has been added
here and there for sparkle.

A perfect card for my Mother-in-law.

I hope you get time to come and join us and who
wouldn't want to win that fabulous prize!!
