All things Autumn

This is my midway design team post for
STAMPING SENSATIONS
theme of All Things Autumn
and of course there are two lovely prizes up for grabs!

So for my card  I have used a white base card,
matted with papers called Delightful Daisy (SU),
to which I wrapped some Terracotta tile ribbon to before sticking down.
I then cut out an oval, stamped some foliage to the left using
Stylish Sketches stamp set from SU.
I coloured them up using my blends then stamped
the same images twice on separate white card and coloured
and cut them out. They were added to the left of my oval
using dimensionals. I stamped a sentiment in pumpkin pie ink (SU)
from a stamp set called Dragonfly Garden (SU).
I glued the oval to my base card and finished with a tiny
linen bow.

Summer Flowers

Our July challenge at
is summer flowers.

We are sponsored by
Crafty Individuals with a £25 gift voucher!

I was lucky enough to win this beautiful stamp
from Chocolate Baroque and thought it would be perfect
for this challenge.
The image has been stamped directly onto my card,
then coloured with blends.
I then inked around the edges in matching colours
and even coloured the white ribbon with the blends
so it all tied in.

I hope you get time to play along with your
summer flower stamps!

Stamping Sensations May Challenge

It's time for our May challenge over at
and this month the theme is
In an English Country Garden!
So get those scenery, floral, garden stamps out and have FUN!
As usual there is a lovely prize up for grabs and this challenge is sponsored by

Two beautiful stamp sets will go to the May winner!
Check them out on Stamping Sensations challenge blog.

How I made my card
1. I cut a piece of whisper white for my stamping base, to fit my card.
2. I stamped the tree, the swing, then the blossom and added some deeper pinks and greens.
3. Next I stamped the green grass and added to it by sweeping with the same
ink pad to cover the bottom of the space.
4. I stamped some blossoms at the right hand side and drew in some leaves.
5. Next I punch some crumb cake and made a fence by cutting them in two
and arranging over a slim line of the same colour.
6. I stamped some blossoms, coloured with blends and cut out and added
to my fence using dimensionals.
I also stamped two little birds, one in the tree and one on the fence.
I drew some leaves and stems for each flower.
7. I took a mad notion to add some blue sky so got out my balmy blue ink
and some gesso and water and mixed it all up and painted onto the background.
7. I stamped the sentiment and chopped it, inking the edges and added to my card.
8. I finished with some wink of stella for a little bit of summer sparkle.
9. I matted this onto a piece of grapefruit grove card (which I dropped and dinted!)
and adhered to my base card.

So Santa scooting by!

I had lots of crafty fun over the weekend! Did you!
Did you do anything nice for WORLD CARD MAKING DAY?
I do hope so.

My cards this week are all made using the
So Santa stamp set.
This set is soooo much fun, I really enjoyed playing with it.
It's also part of my challenge this week to create using the
One Sheet Wonder idea.

So I sat down and designed my cuts for the sheet and then designed my cards.
This, believe it or not, was so easy!
It makes batch card making a dawdle.

This is my cutting layout

I kept it simple, cutting as follows and used one sheet from the
Under the Mistletoe DSP

1. cut 3" x 12"
2. Cut one of the 6"x3" pieces in half - giving you two pieces 1 1/2"x 6"
3. Cut 6"x 12"
4. Cut this sheet in half giving you two 6" square pieces
5. Cut one of the 6" sheets diagonally and cut the other in half as above.
6. This leaves you with a 3"x 12" piece.
7. Cut in half both ways leaving you with 4 pieces measuring 1 1/2"x 6"
Then just off you go and play!

For this card I have used:
So Santa stamp set
Under the Mistletoe, old olive card stock, square layering dies,
whisper white spotty ribbon, colouring pencils, blender pen and Stampin' Blends
The sentiment was stamped using old olive ink.
