Double up!

Our new challenge over at
is anything goes with the option of hand coloured image.

We have some lovely prizes up for grabs
from Grafton crafts so be sure and join us!!

For my card I have used a PB stamp called Soft spoken.
I stamped the flower and coloured it up using markers in shades
of purple and green.
I stamped the sentiment in black from a stamp set called
Latte Love (SU).
I then used a stencil called Four Square (SU) and added
some colour around the area of the flower.
I matted it onto some purple card and finished it
off with a bakers twine bow.

I hope you get time to join us this month!

It's also time for a new challenge over at
and the theme this month is anything but square!

We have a lovely prize up for grabs so be sure and join us!

For my card I decided to make a circle easel card.
As it's my eldest son's birthday this month
I kept him in mind when making it.

I had treated myself to stamps, stencils and masks from
Sheena Douglas and for this card I used
Howling at the Moon.
I absolutely love these sets and know it will be well used.
I went with shades of green and blue and created
a scene inside the stencil using the matching stamps.
The circle dies are from a Tattered Lace set.
Other stamp set used are
Country Birdhouse, Artistically Inked and Alphabest (SU).

I hope you get time to join us this month.

Hot colours!

It's my turn to choose the theme over at
and as the weather has been so hot recently I
decided to go with HOT COLOURS!

For this week's tag I inked up the background using
I gave it a light spray with water to lift some colour.
Then I stamped the flowers using memento black ink.
I matted it onto some black card and finished with a bit of ribbon.

Unfortunately I am down with a really bad flu/covid
from last Thursday. It has really taken it's toll
and I can do nothing only sit around and rest.

I hope you get time to join my theme is fortnight.

Page turner!

It's my turn to choose the theme over at
and I want to see you include books or book pages this fortnight.

For my tag I have used a very old dictionary belonging to my late Mum.
I decided to use it rather than hold on to something
I know my kids will throw out when I'm gone lol.

I cut the tag shape out then stamped the flower from
Penny Black - sunbursts.
I didn't use ink but did use some watercolour markers to
add colour to the stamp, then filled the image in where I wanted
extra colour.
The butterflies have been punched and layered up using the
double butterfly punch from SU.
It has been layered onto some garden green card (SU)
and finished with some ribbon and a sentiment strip
from Hunkydory.

Your favourite stamp!

Our new challenge at STAMPING SENSATIONS is
STAMP OF THE MOMENT!
So share with us one of your favourite stamps at the minute!

We have a gorgeous mixed media prize up for grabs this month
so be sure and get your stamped projects in!

I have to admit I have had this beautiful stamp sitting for a long time
and never inked it up!
It's a Penny Black Slapstick stamp called Sunbursts.

I inked up my paper using coastal cabana, pumpkin pie and granny apple green inks.
Then I sprayed with water and allowed it to really soak into the paper.
When it started to bubble up I mopped it up with a baby wipe.
Next I stamped the image in memento black, a few times,
using my stamping board.
The edges were torn and I then stamped the sentiment.
When sticking to my black base card I decided to go with a
jaunty angle, forgetting I had stamped the sentiment for a
straight angle! Doh!
So I re-stamped the sentiment from  an old kit,
cut it out with a little white edge and covered my previous one.
I added some white sequins and finished by stamping
out a tiny butterfly onto a bit of the waste from my torn card.
The centres of the flowers were coloured using a
spectrum noir sparkle pen.

I hope you all get time to join us this month!
Be sure and pop over to the blog for lots of inspiration
from the design team.
