Double post double prizes!

Our new challenge over at
has started and the theme is FANTASY.

We have a lovely prize up for grabs

so be sure and come and join us!!

For my card I used a fairy stamp which is
from Lavinia stamps which I got free with
a magazine a good few years ago.
It comes with the fairy, toadstools and some
greenery so that is what I used to build my scene.
I did add a stamp set called Peaceful Boughs (SU)
to create the border around my fairy.
I have highlighted her with white gel pen
and added lots of colours to her magical
Christmas sprinkles.
The sentiment is a sticker from my stash.
This little fairy is decorating her toadstools
for Christmas.

Our challenge over at
has the optional theme of red/green
so I went with a badly needed Christmas card.

We have a lovely prize up for grabs here too
and a surprise second prize so be
sure and get your entries in!!

For my card I used an old stamp set called
Poinsettia Petals (SU) along with green and red
inks.
I just stamped and masked off my flowers in
the corners, added leaves and the berry background
and coloured up with my markers.
The sentiment just about fitted my gap lol.
I matted it onto my red card base.

Christmas Tag

I have another tag for Wendy's theme
add a saying/quote at

I started with a piece of white card,
stamped the tree branches in versamark ink,
(Peaceful Boughs stamp set),
embossed them with white embossing powder to which
I added some silver glitter.
I then inked up the background, stamped my quote/saying
and finished with a silver die cut greeting.
It was all backed on to silver card and finished
with a little paper bow.

My day in the craftroom was scrapped yesterday
as we had visitors so I'm trying again today lol.
The car has gone to the garage for a tune up so we
can't venture anywhere until it comes back.
Have a great day and thanks for dropping by.
I will be round to you soon!!

Peaceful Boughs Christmas star

My tiny little tree needed a new decoration.
Last year I made a little angel so this year I thought
I would do a star.

I used a piece of copy paper measuring
5" x 5".
I followed a YouTube tutorial for the fold.
When cut, I opened up and stamped the gorgeous
I then added some glue to the prominent lines
and sprinkled with some very light glitter.
The folds were all re-scored
before I added a little paper loop on the back
so I could add to the tree!

Pretty sweet sitting on my tree and has a
vintage feel to it.

I hope you are all set for Christmas by now.
I think I am well catered for, food bought.
We have kept it very low key.
No point going overboard and stressing out
when it's just the three of us.
I'll be back tomorrow with one last tutorial
and on Thursday I have a few scrapbook pages
to share then I will put my feet up!

Split front panel card

My video tutorial over in my VIP Group is called a

Split Front Panel Card.

This is another much needed Christmas card for my small pile!

I have used two stamp sets -

Poinsettia Petals and Peaceful Boughs

along with some gold embossing powder and

gold foil sheets.

This is how I finished the inside of the card.

Gold embossed poinsettia and sentiment.

Texture at Tag Tuesday

It's the second week of our challenge over at
where Wendy has challenged us to use
TEXTURE!

I saw a gorgeous tree over on Pinterest and it
inspired me to have a go on my tag.
I have inked up the base then cut some paper the same size,
sprayed with water and crinkled up and then dried.
I added it to my tag and stamped some wording down
either side.

I then made the tree by rolling scraps of paper and dipping
the ends in ink.
I added some gesso and white shimmer paint and even some thin
bits of sparkly stuff I found in my drawer.
It was a bugger trying to get them to stick though lol.

I finished off with some fake snow
then sprayed the whole tag with sparkle sealant.
The star is front my stash, I used seam binding for the top
and stamped and inked the sentiment.

Halloween at Tag Tuesday

The challenge over at
has the theme HALLOWEEN
chosen by the lovely Michele

For my tag I started with some old olive card
and stamped it with the web stamp.
I then inked up the edges and added some
branches coming down from the top.
The spider was hand drawn (obviously lol), not my forte!

I stamped the cat from a lovely stamp and die set
I won with one of my cards recently. It's a Tim Holtz set.
I coloured him up orange and black.
He looks totally scared of that spider lol.

I finished off with the little bat and BOO wording
and a bit of linen string for the top.

I hope you get time to join the fun this month!

The garden is laden after the storm last night
but just too wet to go clean up.
We are heading out for a walk round the lakes
before the next heavy shower comes!!
Have a great day.

Book Print at Tag Tuesday

The theme over at Tag Tuesday this week
was chosen by the lovely
She wants us to use some book print.

I have gone with an old dictionary page,
using the page that had Christmas on it,
and turned it into a Christmas tag.

I do love working with book print but I am
completely out of practise!!
