Summer Garden

I made another folio to use up some stash
and the basic album was made up from
some white envelopes.
The papers were from
We R Memory Keepers and they came with
little envelopes, words tags etc.
I added lace, metal corners,
washi tape and flowers from
my stash to help dress it up.
I used a stamp set called
Love this Moment (SU),
one from Studio Light grunge stamps
and butterflies from Winged Delights
AALL & Create.

You can watch a flip through here

I will be filling this one with photos
of any craic we have during the summer
in the garden.

Holiday album

Finally got a chance to put together a little album
for our recent holiday to Fuerteventura.

I used some old envelopes and papers from
We R Memory Keepers (I think).
Stamp set used - Tabs for everything (SU)
and embellishments cut from the paper
and some from Nitwits collections.

I used a ribbon for the closure and lots of bits
and pieces I saved from the trip.

Wedding card and album

Happy Monday!

My Son and Daughter-in-law's good friends were
married in Italy in September and
Milo wanted me to make something nice to give them.

So I went with a cute little tag album using a set
of dies from Alinacutle. You can buy it on Amazon.
I have linked her YouTube channel on my video.
The papers are from a pack called Garden Blooms from
Anna Marie Designs.
I filled the album with photos from the wedding and
some from their earlier days together as a family.
This is a view of the inside and the back of the tag album.
Inside there are lots of wedding themed quotes etc.

I used flowers, ribbon and tulle from my stash.

You can see the full album here

Mini album

Back to using up more stash now that my room is sorted.
This was a 12 x 12 pack that I had eaten into a long time ago
but still have 2 full sheets and some embellishments.
So I went with a mini album following a tutorial
from MayMay Made it on YouTube.
You can see the tutorial here.

I added a few pocket envelopes inside to use up
more scraps.

You can watch a quick walk through of insides here

Items used
Papers from NRN Designs and First Addition Love Letters
Stamps - Love this moment (SU)

Labour of love

I have had an envelope full of prayer cards and Holy medals
belonging to my late Mum, in my bedside drawer for 19 years.
The contents are probably much older than that for sure!
I also used one of my Mum's cross stitch pieces for the cover.

So I thought it was time to give them a nice home.
I didn't take time to work out any details I just went for it lol.
I did want to give it an old vintage feel though.

For the pages inside I used some white card to
which I stuck pages pulled from a thesaurus,
inked round the edges and then run through my sewing machine.

The cover is hardboard and when I had finished all the pages
I realised I had no other choice than to bind it together
using my Cinch machine and some ribbon.
I am happy enough with the finished book but learned
a lot to NOT do next time lol.

You can watch a more detailed look here

For this project I have used
A Thesaurus, cinnamon cider ink pad,
vellum, lace, machine sewing and stickers.
I have used various SU stamp sets throughout
along with some Hunkydory word strips and embossing folders.

Frosty morning but nice and sunny.
Had a good walk in the fresh air which we both enjoyed.
Now decisions decisions, will we light the fire??
It's at the other end of the house from my craft room though!!

Accordion Journal with pockets!

I came across this great tutorial on YouTube from
It has accordion pockets on one side and
the opposite side flips into a journal style!
I'm a bit of a stationery lover so this was right
up my street!!

Perfect for saving money, receipts etc throughout the year
and keeping a log of your entries too!

I added elastic closure to mine and decorated it up with brads
and stickers from Bo Bunny (very old).
The papers I used are from Delightfully Eclectic (SU)
Stamps used are from EC month stamps and
I used an eyelet and elastic thread from my stash.

Final School Year

My Grandson Sean is now in his final year in primary school
so I thought I would make a mini album to store
precious photos of his final year.
This little album only measures 4" x 4" x 1" and will
hold 16 photos.

The paper pack was called Paper Pazazz School Days
and I have had it for years.
It comes with lots of little cut outs to decorate so the only
stamp set I used was called Alphabest (SU).
The base is all black card stock.

and missed the early train 😂
We will try again next week!!

A ME mini album!

I finished another mini album this week and this time
I used very old photos of myself!
Look at that hair!!
On the front of the album I made a mini shaker then decorated
with some sticker words and flowers.

As you know, I am working my way through my stash
and one of the things I found was a box of beads.
So I used some for the side panel.

You can watch a quick walk through here.
You will even see me with the then Prime Minister at
my work place!!
My 5 minutes of fame lol.

Wedding Memories

Another album and another pack of paper used up!
This time I made an album of our courtship and wedding.
The photos were in another album but it had become a bit
mouldy and weather beaten so thought it could do with a new one.
The papers I used are from K & Company called Scrap to Go.
It had been used so the album looks a bit scrappy near the
last few papers lol but happy enough.

I decorated the front with some flowers and brads
and added a metal frame to the side which I might need
to add some metal effect enamel to fill that annoying gap showing!!

You can watch a quick run through here

I used various stamps throughout when needed but luckily
the pack had lots of pre printed quotes and sentiments.

Babysitting duties today again.
It's so cold here, even when we get a few minutes sunshine
so no coffee in the garden again!
I'm off to plunder in my paper box for my next project!
Enjoy your weekend!!

One sheet mini album

My next paper pack had one full sheet of designer paper
along with one and a half sheets of matching card
and small scraps. It's not an SU pack but I think I got
it while I was doing some designing for
Crafts 4 Eternity many years ago!!

So I searched the internet for a tutorial and found this one
at Curio By B-Spoke Designs showing me how to make
a mini album using one sheet of paper!

This little mini holds 30 photos but I probably over did it as usual.
You can put in less by using the pocket tags for journaling.
This book is full of photos of my husband Brian from the
age of 17 up. Great to get another 30 photos from
my photo box  nicely homed!

I used every bit of scrap there was to use by punching
small flowers and leaves from the papers, layering them up
and finished with some gems!

Mini album for my daughter

I wanted to share another album I made recently.
This one measures 4" wide by 5 1/2" deep.
I went a bit mad with the amount of pages I added
and photos and it's kind of bursting out of itself lol.

So to reinforce it a bit more I added double eyelets
to the centre pages and threaded through some ribbon
and tied a smaller bow.

You can see how fat it ended up lol but it did use up
lots of paper and became a home for lots of old photos.
I spent about two weeks putting this one together, on and off
but was pretty pleased with the finished album.

You can watch a walk through of the album here

Summer has begun!

I had this lovely pack of paper which had only a few sheets used
and I thought it would make a perfect album for my
Grandsons Sean and Tom for their holiday adventures this year.

The paper pack is from Echo Park called Dive into Summer
and it is full of lovely papers along with these great little
cut outs which work perfectly with the photos.
They have had one quick camping holiday already
and have just upgraded from a tent to a camper van so
lots more photos to come!

For the album itself I followed a tutorial from Gloria Scraps.
It measures 5" x 3 1/2" and has flip ups, tri folds and pockets.

Thankfully I had just enough papers to cover everything!!
I decided on a snap button closure as it was not staying closed
as I packed it with so much stuff lol and in order to secure
my closure I had to back the front paper in sticky back plastic!

I used some fabric on the side for a beachy look and added a little charm.

It's overcast but dry today so we are heading out
to paint the fences!!
Enjoy your weekend.

First Christmas Mini Album

I have another little mini album to share today.
This one was made for my Granddaughter Aimee's first Christmas
this December.

On the front I made a shaker with the little penguin and some fake snow.
On the side I added a bell and some pompoms
and it has been closed using some red and white gingham ribbon.

The whole thing was constructed using real red card and scraps
from two Christmas paper packs.
I also used some Nitwits images for embellishments here and there.

Christmas Mini Album

Tis the season??
I know a bit early even for me but this was the next paper pack leftovers
that was on my to 'use up' list.

I spent a bit of time sorting out what sizes each piece was and embellishments
I could use, before getting down to the size of the book.
This one is 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" and has lots of fold outs and pockets.

Again I went with the snap button closure as it is really
strong for these little books.

I am hoping I have linked everyone up correctly this time.
Thanks for stopping by.
