Driving By!
I had a go at the book binding fold when I saw
the challenge theme over at the Butterfly Challenge.
Unfortunately I didn't need a butterfly on my card
but I was definitely inspired by Valery's challenge.
You can see the close up of the little penny slider car,
showing the hidden sentiment.
This card was made for someone who had to resit their test
after a long break due to illness.
I have used Driving By stamp set, (available free with a spend
during Sale-a-bration until end of February)
Garage Gears dies,
Geared Up Garage stamp set, black braid, Through it together stamp set,
black card and papers from Sunshine & Rainbows.
(another sale-a-bration freebie)
Inks used - coastal cabana and memento.
All from Stampin' Up!

Geared up garage birthday card
Cards for the boys can always be a struggle but if you have this
amazing bundle then you are set!
Even if you don't use the car you will still be able to create
lots of great male cards!
This one is for my son's birthday on Easter Sunday.
Customer Card Kit April (2)
1. Make card base by cutting a4 whisper white down middle vertically.
2. Using a piece of classic garage dsp cut a piece measuring
4 1/8 x 5 7/8" (cut card to 4" if you prefer)
3. Mark your dsp at 2" from top at right hand side
and 2" from bottom at left hand side and cut across these two marks.
4. On these two pieces of dsp mark again 1/4" on both sides and cut away.
This leaves you with central gap.
5. Cut piece of crushed curry measuring
5" wide by 2" long.
6. Adhere the bottom dsp piece to the crushed curry,
lining up with your card base and stick in place.
7. Now add glue to back of other piece of dsp and stick over
crushed curry centre, lining with base card.
Trim off any access.
8. Stamp sentiment in centre of crushed curry using memento ink.
(Stamparatus is perfect for this in case you need to repeat the stamping)
Stamp border to either side using memento.
9. Stamp car onto crushed curry and cut using matching die.
Cut 9 cogs in same colour.
10. Add card to bottom of card using dimensionals
11. Add cogs, some flat, some raised, in upper part of card.
Fill in solid centres of cogs in black ink.
