Happy Hour!

I have another card for a June birthday.
This one is for my sister-in-law.

I went with a cocktail theme as she loves a party.
She's not a big drinker but is very social.

I used wood effect paper for the bottom
which I inked up in yellow ink.
For the background I used a stamp set
called Geared up Garage and inked the oil stamp
in yellow, lime green and bright pink.
I then stamped and die cut the glasses
using a set called Sip Sip Hooray.
I stamped, coloured and cut all the little add ons
with my markers.
I splattered some pink ink in the white
space and then stamped my sentiment.
I then arranged the drinks in place
and finished with a sentiment.
All stamps are from SU.

I've not been around too much these past few days.
My daughter went in for a Gallbladder removal and
something went badly wrong. She is still in hospital,
still has part of her gallbladder and is very ill.
She is getting an MRI now to see what the damage is
and they will go from there.
At my wits end!

Travel

Our new challenge them over at
TAG TUESDAY
has been chosen by Sandie and she wants to see anything
travel related!

For my tag I used some background paper that had a city scape on it
then stamped an oily background at the bottom and some nuts around
the edges using geared up garage stamp set (R).
I stamped the car using driving by (R) stamp set,
coloured it up with my blends and cut it out.
I finished by matting it onto black card, adding a sentiment
and a piece of stapled ribbon.
Perfect for a father's day/birthday gift tag!

I hope you get time to join us this fortnight!
You could end up in our hall of fame and get a lovely badge
for your blog!!

Blogger is still playing up and not allowing me to link all challenges,
just some. Seriously annoying!!

Doing some painting outside at the minute and it would freeze
you out there!! I had to double check I was actually in June lol.

Masculine Fun Fold

Pop Up Pillar card.

Side view.

Folds flat for posting.

Today, for my midway post at
STAMPING SENSATIONS
I have gone with a funfold birthday card for my son Milo.
He is very in to his cars so I have gone
with a car theme.

The papers I used are retired SU ones.
The stamp sets used are
Geared Up Garage  (SU) for the car and all the embellishments.
I used a Lisa Horton stamp set (Linen Texture)
for the sentiment.
I added chalk pen lines up the sides and
there is a verse on the back of the card!.
I used promarkers, silver gel pen and memento ink to colour
and alphabet dies from Helen Griffin for his name.

Took me ages lol but I do like to give a funfold
card to all my kids for their special days.

I hope you get to join us this month with your
masculine themed projects. Remember we have
a lovely prize up for grabs too!

is 'make it masculine'.

We have a great prize up for grabs so get your stamps out
and come and join us.

I made this card for a friend's birthday and he
is a big car lover (and motorbikes) so I decided to go with a
funfold card.
I saw a card online and decided to have a go making an a5 size.
The papers are from a pack called Best Route (SU).
The stamp sets used are
Driving By, Geared Up Garage (SU) and
Beautiful Anemone (LH).
I went with night of navy card, and ink

ATC 6 - a good man

I created this ATC for inspiration using
A Good Man stamp set.

It's great for practising creating beach scenes
or country scenes.

This one would be perfect for a
Father's Day card.

I have used A Good Man stamp set.
The background was created using homemade
stencils. Ragged edge for the sand
and water and clouds for the sky.
I punched a 1" circle to do the sun
sinking in the sky.
Just noticed a bit of a gap there lol.
The lighthouse was cut from some retired papers.
The image has been coloured using
Mint Macaron and Old Olive blends.
I stamped the sentiment from
Geared up Garage stamp set in seaside spray ink.

Geared Up Birthday Card

My VIP Customer tutorial today shows how
I created this background using scraps of paper
from the Brights pack of papers.

It's the first time I have tried this pattern
so lessons were learned along the way lol.
But I do love the bright papers against the black background.
This card is for my Mother-in-law's Grandson
who loves his cars.

I have used:
Geared Up Garage (on sale and retiring soon)
Silver Embossing Powder
black and silver ribbon

Butterfly Gala Sympathy Card

I have the final card from my Sympathy series.
This one is very simple but very effective.

create the background for my butterfly.
It has been stamped using coastal cabana ink.
The butterfly is from the Butterfly Gala set, sadly retiring this year
but at a greatly reduced price!
It was stamped in memento, punched out and coloured
using the ink and a wink of stella pen.

The sentiments were stamped in memento
I decided, after the card was made to add the top sentiment
The card base is in coastal cabana.

The designed was followed inside the card to finish it off.

Blue skies and sunshine today.
We got to meet up with our son for his birthday
and see our two Grandsons Sean and Tom.
They were full of chat, sharing everything we
have missed this past while, which was lovely 💓

Bench Fold Father's Day Card

Top 5 Badge

My VIP Video tutorial shows how to make a
BENCH CARD
Another first for me, but I do like to challenge my brain at least once a week!!

Basically it is really a bridge fold card with an added bench!
Great fun to make and decorate though 😀

And the good thing is, it all folds flat for posting.
I think it is an ideal shape for a manly card
and if you have lots of little die cuts to embellish it,
it really comes to life.
I made a mini ruler, a faux note book and a paper pencil.
All other embellishments are from the Geared Up Garage bundle.

A Good Man and Geared Up Garage

My Friday make is another card for my youngest son who celebrated
his birthday yesterday.
I did post one last week with a car theme and this one has the same theme.
But isn't it nice to be able to get a few variations from the same stamp set??
We are having a big get together with all the family at his house
this weekend. So keep your fingers crossed for good weather
as he has a big pool set up for the kids and a barbecue for us!!
