Add some texture!

It's time for a new theme over at
and this time it was my turn to challenge the ladies
and I want to see texture on their projects.

For my tag I used papers from Basicgrey in green
for my base. I used my trio punch for the shape.
I then cut a piece of designer paper from the same set
and ran it through an embossing folder to added
texture. I then added some white ink to the embossing
to make it stand out more.
This was attached to my base and I ran
it through my sewing machine.
Next I stamped and die cut the leaf using
some gold sparkle embossing powder and die.
You can just about see it in the photo.
I stamped and embossed the sentiment in
gold powder onto a piece of torn vellum.
The stamp set is called Gather Together (SU).
I added some eyelets to either side and laced
some hairy string through it to hold in place.
I finished with some gems in green
and some fibres at the top.
Still not satisfied, I flicked some white ink
over the whole tag.

I would like to enter this into
(embossing folder, wet embossing, white ink, sewing machine, vellum, string,
fibres, metallic rub ons, eyelets)

Next up is my ATC.
I used a piece of linen card for the base
and ran some luster rub-ons across it in brown.
I tore a scrap of paper, same as above, to fit
over the top of the base.
I wrapped it with the same hairy string
and then stuck to my base.
I then die cut some leaves in vellum
using the Gather Together bundle (SU),
and again ran my finger over them with the rub-ons
to add some colour and show up the embossing.
These were stuck to opposite corners.
I punched some script into a circle
and again added the rub-ons.
You can imagine how messy my finger is now lol.
I layered up the sentiment from Hunkydory and
stuck in place.

Double Post

It's time for my midway post for our challenge over at
where the theme is Autumn or anything goes.

We have a great prize up for grabs so come and join us.
Our prize this month is a £25 store voucher from Personal Impressions

For my card I kept is pretty clean and simple.
I used a stamp set called Gather Together (SU)
and stamped and masked to create my pumpkin scene.
Everything has been coloured with markers.
I matted it onto a scrap of wood plank paper (SU)
and added some rustic gems to the corners.
The sentiment is from the same set.

It's also time for my midway post over at
where the theme is anything Autumn/anything goes.

The prize over here is also amazing so well
worth your time to get an entry in.

For my card I just went crazy attempting to make a scene.
Looking at it now my moon looks like it fell
from the sky 😂
The stamp sets I used are called
Stylish Sketches and Mountain Air (SU).
I used a scrap of paper top and bottom, probably SU,
then added string and handwrote the sentiment
in white pen.
The background was inked using distress inks.
The fox and leaves were coloured with markers.
It was good fun to make and obviously
a learning curve lol.

Autumn has arrived!

Our new challenge has started over at
and the optional theme is Autumn.

We have a lovely prize up for grabs so be sure and join us.
£25 gift voucher!

For my card I used some old paper from a pack I
bought in Lidl many years ago.
It is gorgeous paper. The squirrels and leaves are embossed
and glittered.
I used my plank embossing folder (SU) for a band
across the card which also had ink added.
I then stamped the leaves, corn and pumpkins using
Gather Together stamps and dies (SU).
I coloured the pumpkins and corn with markers.
I added a piece of jute along the bottom
of my border for some texture.
The sentiment was stamped on the border
then I arranged everything in place.

I really want this prize myself!!!

For my card I used a set called Autumn Days
which I got from Simply Cards & Papercraft many moons ago.
The background was inked with my blending brushes,
the trees stamped in brown and the
leaves were stamped in orange, green, yellow and brown
along the bottom.
I then stamped the sentiment in orange.
I added a bit of sparkly braid along the left of
my card then mounted it onto some orange card.

Autumn vibes

Our theme for October over at
has been chosen by Brenda and she went with
AUTUMN.

For my tag I used some orange card for my base
which I punched using my tag topper punch (SU).
I then cut a piece of yellow card which
I ran through with a floral embossing folder.
I then ran my finger over with some lustre rub-ons.
Next I stamped some leaves using
Gather Together (SU) stamp set and cut them out.
I used my markers to add green, yellow
and orange colour to them and then cut as above
to fit my tag.
I finished with a sentiment (Hunkydory)
and some wool at the top.

For my ATC I used the same stamp set,
Gather Together (SU).
I inked up my ATC with yellow and purple
inks then stamped the large leave
coming off the edges.
I coloured them with markers in the same
ink colours then added some gold ink to
highlight them. I stamped some grey dots
from the same set between the leaves
then flicked some gold ink over it all.
I finished with a quote from Hunkydory
and inked around the edges.

Seasons

Our new theme over at
has been chosen by the lovely Valerie and she
has gone with SEASONS!

For my tag I went with Autumn.
I used scrap paper for the background and some little leaf
cut outs for the bottom. The leaf has been stamped using
a set called Gather Together (SU) and coloured with a paint brush
using pumpkin pie and cinnamon cider inks (SU).
The sentiment is from the same set.
I finished the tag with some twine.

I hope you get time to join us this fortnight!

Gather your stash!

I had a play with the lovely sketch over at
Great one for using up scraps of paper for sure.

I used calypso coral card for my base. The white mat has been
scored on my scoreboard to give some texture.
The papers are from my subtles pack in calypso coral colours.
I used a retired stamp and die set to get the leaf, adding some
shading with my matching blends pen.
The sentiment is from Biggest Wish stamp set and I
finished with a little cotton thread tied in a double bow.

All things Autumn!

Our October challenge at
has a theme of All Things Autumn!

We have two lovely prizes up for grabs this month!

We also have two lovely new team members
so be sure and check out Carol and Dora!!

For my card I started with a tan base card and I stamped
the corns using soft suede ink (SU).
I found a strip of the tartan paper in my scraps and laid
it across the centre of my stamped area.
Next I stamped and water coloured two large leaves using
bumblebee and pumpkin pie ink pads, colouring them in
by dipping my old wink of stella brush in some ink and water.
The pumpkin was done the same way, all cut out and matted
on to my tartan paper.
The sentiment is from the same set as the leaves and is called
Gather Together (SU).
I punched the sentiment and mat out in the tan card
using the oval punch (SU),
and finished with a little bow in twine.

I hope you get time to join us.
Let's light up blogland with some gorgeous Autumnal colours!!

Peek-a-boo Friday

My Friday Fun fold card is called a
Peek-a-boo card!
Another first for me lol.

This card has a sentiment which you can see when closed
and then another pops over when you open it.
I really really like this design and made two
for relatives up coming birthdays.
I even decorated the envelopes with the left over dsp.
The papers are both from the Plaid Tidings pack
which is on sale at the minute.

You can find my tutorial over in my VIP Group.
Feel free to join me over there (UK/Ireland).
