Pretty Folio and pen

I have made another folio to use up my 12 x 12 stash.
This one used papers from K & Company and My Mind's Eye
along with some Soft Sea Foam card.

I saw a folio made by May May on YouTube which sparked
an idea and this is what I ended up with.
The front is magnetised and I added a matching pen.

Inside there are note cards and a jotter
decorated with stickers, machine stitched and some stamping.

Flip another page and you get some pockets holding
another little note book and some pretty tags.
It is full of nice friendship and inspirational quotes.

Recycle your stamp sheets!

My VIP Tutorial this week shows how to use
the acetate from the inside of your photopolymer stamp sets.
You remove your stamps when you get it and stick to the inside of
your holder and generally just toss the sheet as it is marked with the stamps.
But my tip shows how to fix this and how to use for the cards above!
Hard to see in the photo but there is a window where you can
see to the inside of the card. Nothing new, but certainly a recycle tip.

Labour of love!

I had a request from a customer for a funfold card for a
70th birthday.
So I decided to make an a5 version of this.
Nearly blew my brain trying to work out the cuts and folds lol
but I got there in the end.

This is the back, with lots of space for a long verse.

Summer Flowers at Allsorts

I have a guest design team spot with the lovely ladies at
and the theme this week is
Summer Flowers!

I fancied trying my hand at a wreath of summer flowers.
So I set about stamping, colouring and shaping
until I was happy.
I drew a circle in pencil and stamped some background
leaves, then added the stamped flowers and leaves.
I added a sentiment to the centre.

Be sure and pop over and check out those very
talented ladies!

Stencil it!

It's my turn to pick the theme over at
and I want to see some stencilling!

For my tag I have stencilled using embossing paste
directly onto my black tag.
Probably could have added another layer of paste
but have no patience lol.
So I used the stencil again (SU)
this time onto white card using pink ink.
I drew around the stencil using a black pen
and then cut the flowers out and added
them to my tag.
I stamped and embossed the sentiment,
using Flowers of friendship (SU),
again stamped out two words so I could raise them up.
I finished with some gems and a bit of ribbon.

I hope you get time to join in.

Birthday cake funfold

Back into crafting again now that things are settled I have
a bit more time on my hands.

So I had a variety of cards to make for one of my customers
for Birthdays and Mother's Day and this is one of them.

I have used a Tattered Lace Die for the card shape,
layered up with some retired papers from Stampin' Up!
The flowers have been stamped, punched and coloured using
Flowers of Friendship stamp and punch set.
The little banner was stamped using a set called
Banner Alpha from Pink & Main in calypso coral colours.
I added silver gems to the flowers and finished with some
silver ribbon and a cake cut from same paper pack.
The little candles behind the cake are from
Approaching Perfection stamp set from a Stampin' Up!
sale-a-bration freebie last year.

So we headed to Dublin airport at 6.30 yesterday, in the snow!
All went well but Charlie's first flight was delayed which
caused a knock on effect for her connecting flight in Chicago,
which she missed.😓 Her luggage went missing and she had to get
another flight booked for 6 hours later that evening.
So she spent a long evening keeping in touch and keeping
everything crossed that she would reach her next destination.
And she did, finally, in the early hours of this morning, she landed
in Kansas where her friend was waiting for her.
AND her luggage turned up! Apparently it didn't miss the
connecting flight, go figure!!
But she is safe and happy and we can now relax again!

Story time at Tag Tuesday!

It's the second week of our challenge over at
where Sandie wants us to use book paper!

This week I have used part of the same page from last week
torn and stuck to the side of my embossed tag.
I stamped my flowers onto the same page and punched them out.
I have coloured them using pumpkin pie ink and layered
them on to some rich razzleberry card.

For those of you who said you like to read the page it is
from a book called Notes on a scandal by Zoe Heller 😁
though I did just use the Acknowledgements page!!

Flowers of Friendship at Tag Tuesday

It's the second week of my challenge theme
FLOWERS
over at TAG TUESDAY.

I spent a lot of time on this one but so enjoyed it.
The flowers, leaves and sentiment are all from
and I have gold embossed each one, including the sentiment.
The background of the tag was made using subtles dsp,
which I stamped over with my crackle paint stamp.
I stamped and gold embossed the sentiment,
then stamped, embossed and coloured the flowers
and leaves (mint macaron blends) and punched.
I arranged them all in place and then added a
gold punched dragonfly.
I finished it off with some mint macaron ribbon
and some metallic pearls and gems.

I hope you get time to join in my challenge this week.

Flowers of Friendship - Birthday

For my mid month inspiration over at
where our theme is
FOR A LADY,
to create the flowers on my card.

I had to do a lot of masking and colouring
but I totally enjoyed it and found it very relaxing
after a hard week helping my son to move.

The flowers have been coloured using my blends
and I flicked some of the ink when finished to create
a little colour in the white spaces.
The sentiment is from
