Double post

It's time for our midway post for our challenge at
where the optional theme is
Inspired by nature.

We do have two amazing prizes up for grabs so
be sure and join us this month.
Just be sure and stamp!

For my card I used a stamps and stencil from the
IndigoBlu Mixed Media Special 11.
I stencilled my background using the leaf stencil
in yellow ink.
I then stamped the flower repeatedly across
the bottom of my card.
Using markers I coloured the foliage and then
using acrylic markers I coloured the
flower heads so none of the yellow
would show through.
I then ran this piece through my sewing machine.
When attached to my card base I
stamped the sentiment from the same set.
I then stamped, punched and coloured the
butterfly using an SU set called
Butterfly Gala, and stuck in place.

midway post over at
where the optional theme is
SPRING.

We also have two lovely prizes here too
so come and join us!

My card was made for my Mother-in-law
for Easter.
I used the IndigoBlu Mixed Media Special 11
for my card here too.
I stamped my bunny and foliage on
my card mat then masked off the bunny.
The background was stencilled in green using
the leaf stencil.
I then coloured up my bunny and added
colour to the foliage using markers.
I ran the mat through my sewing machine.
Next I stamped the sentiment
from an SU set called Welcome Easter.
I inked around the edges in green
and stuck in place.

Double post!

Our April challenge theme over at
is 'inspired by nature'.

We have two lovely prizes up for grabs
so I hope you get time to join us
and be sure and pop over if you need some
inspiration!

For my card I used a stamp set from
AALL & Create called Garden Tools #326.
I stamped the little snail then masked him off.
I then stamped the thistle across the base of my white
card, coloured them up with markers
and added some green for the ground and
clouds and blue for the sky.
I stamped the sentiment from the same set,
chopped it up and layered on the same
card as the backing card.

Our April challenge theme over at
is 'Spring has sprung'.

We have a lovely prize up for grabs here too.
Who doesn't need a Lavinia stamp
in their stash!!!
Pop over to the blog if you need
some inspiration.

I decided to make my little Granddaughter an
Easter card so pulled out my Fable Friends stamp set (SU).
So first I did my mat with some yellow card
and matching gingham which I stitched together.
I cut an oval in yellow and one in white
for my stamping.
I stamped the bunny, paper pieced his jacket and
coloured him up with markers
and added some grass to the bottom.
I punched some small flowers and leaves,
coloured them and added to my card.
I added some pearlised enamel dots to their centres.
I finished with a matching tag for
the sentiment, punched using  an old label
punch from SU.
I added some yellow gingham ribbon to the tag.

Happy Easter everyone!

and orange inks, blended together.

set called Things we Love.
The flower has been coloured with markers.
I added some little dots and splodges using a set called

I am so sharing my mid way post for
where the theme is favourite stamps + add lace or ribbon.

The prize up for grabs is this!!
So please come and join us!

For my card I have gone with an Easter theme
using a cute little family of ducks from a
stamp set called Fable Friends (SU).
Definitely a firm favourite with me!
I cut some gingham paper to fit my card along with
some white ribbon, and ran
it through my sewing machine.
I die cut a rectangle in white and added some
grass using a small stamp and some green markers.
I then stamped and coloured my ducks with markers
and cut them out by hand.
When I had added them to my card front
I stamped the sentiment and used my oval punch
to layer it up and stuck in place.

First signs of Spring!

Happy Sunday.
It's time for our March challenge over at
and the theme this time round is
anything goes option Spring!

We have some wonderful prizes up for grabs!!

Amazing or what!!

So for my challenge I have gone with daffodils.
These flowers just shout Spring to me and I love to see them popping up.
The stamp set I used is a retired one but I do love it.
I followed a sketch for the layout and used old olive card and ink
and glorious gingham papers.
The daffodils have been stamped twice so I could layer up the heads.
The design has been continued on the inside.

I hope you get time to join us and be sure to pop over
HERE to check out the ladies amazing inspiration!

Easter pop up diorama

I made this card today for two of my Grandsons for Easter.
It's a pop up diorama card and it folds perfectly flat for posting!

I followed the sketch over at Try Stampin' on Tuesday
for the front layout, turning it to suit my card size.

The background clouds were inked using a mix of colours.
The bunny and egg was stamped, cut and 3d'.
I couldn't fit their names in so just went with boys.

When you open the card the right side pops up
to form the diorama.
I decorated it with the same clouds and an oval of carrots,
all stamped, coloured and cut out.

I have left the other side blank but will add an Easter verse
using the computer and pop in.
The little eggs are slightly raised so I can tuck the
verse under them.

Whiteboard card!

My card today is a version of the 'Chalkboard card'.
But I wanted to add a little window box for some
daffodils and the black behind was just not going to work.

The daffodils are from a stamp set called
Daffodil Daydream and I absolutely love colouring
them and fussy cutting them. So relaxing
and of course daffodils are my most favourite flower.
This card will be for my Mother-in-law for Easter.
I will do a tutorial showing how to make the basic
chalkboard style one for my newsletter.
