Summer in the garden

It's time for my midway post for
where the theme is anything goes option summer garden.

I hope you get time to join us as the prizes are definitely
worth it!!

For my card today I stamped the image and then used the matching
stencils from a set called Enduring Beauty, to add colour and depth.
I chopped the finished image in half and filled
the gap with a piece of white card which I stamped
using Lisa Horton Crafts stamp called Sending you Sunshine.
I matted it onto a piece of paper from Country Woods set
and finished with some enamel hearts.
It was still looking a bit bare so I stamped, punched
and coloured the butterflies and stuck in place.
I then added some enamel pearls to the flowers.

Beautiful Balloons

I made this card for my nephew Brendan from his Granny.
He is turning 40 next month!!
I went with a fun fold celebration card using
Beautiful Balloons stamps and die.
The fold is nothing exciting, just two creased, concertina folded
and a front added.
I used Country Woods papers as they have a nice manly feel.
I stamped and die cut lots of balloons and some stars for the top.
I used the Alphabest set for the numbers on the balloon.

Inside I stamped the sentiment on the left along with some candles
from a set called Approaching Perfection.
The sentiment on the right has been printed from my computer
and die cut with a rectangle die.

Let it snow!

So with our Christmas theme over at Stamping Sensations
I was inspired to keep it going!

I had this wooden blank lying about since last year and
thought it could do with a bit of pimping lol.
So I got out my Country Woods dsp pack and covered
the base, sanding off all the edges.
I die cut the large letters for my wording along with some
snowflakes which I layered up many times and added gems to.
Then came the stamping. I used two old stamp sets called
Snowman Season and Spirited Snowmen.
The snow people were stamped, coloured and cut
and stuck in place.

I was pretty pleased with myself lol.
I have another nice project to share using the Christmas
theme but will save that until next week.

We had a quick scoot down to Omeath today.
It started out very misty but eventually the sun shone through.
Beautiful breath of fresh air and the views were stunning!

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Country Flowers sympathy card

Happy Monday!
I made another card using my mini cards and yes,
another sympathy card.
I decided to fill the box with sympathy/thinking of you cards
as I am donating them to the carers who drop in to my
Mother-in-law's.

I used Country Flowers bundle along with some papers from the
Country Woods pack.
As I have a full pack of 12" x 12" vellum I am trying to use it
in most of my makes at the minute.
It embosses beautifully too!

I used my rectangle dies and layered up the rectangles,
twisting for a bit of interest.
The flowers were stamped and lots of green and vellum leaves
were layered underneath them.
A bit of ribbon, pearls and a sentiment finished off the front.

So I followed it through inside!

My poor hubby had been out to a golf competition on Saturday
and got hit just above his ankle with a golf ball flying at full speed!
How he drove himself home I do not know.
He is struggling to put his weight on it and it is badly swollen.
But he is a man and refuses to see a doctor nor take a pain killer!
Seriously!! Give me patience!!

Moodboard for May

This month over at
we have a moodboard along with anything goes.

There are lots of images/colours to get the imagination going for sure.
I have gone with green/orange, birds and flowers
for my card.

We do of course have some lovely prizes up for grabs
so be sure and join us this month.

For my card I have gone with, as I said the colours green and orange.
I stamped the birdhouse parts then assembled together.
I then stamped the birds and flowers and added those.
I love how it is so full with lots of layers for added interest.

Pop over to Stamping Sensations for lots of inspiration
and a brand new design team member too!!

Where's the birdie??

It's my turn to choose the theme over at
and this fortnight I would like to see you add a bird/bird related items
to your tag.

For my first tag I used the gorgeous new bundle called
COUNTRY BIRDHOUSE.
I also used the matching papers called Country Woods.
Both available to buy from 1st May!

First I die cut all my shapes, stamped all my items and coloured them in.
Then it was assembly time.
So quick and very satisfying to finish.

I hope you get time to join us.
