Double Post

It's time for my midway post for
where the theme is use your fav stamp/anything goes.
Just remember to stamp and name the
company the stamp is from.

We do of course have a lovely prize!

For my card I used a stamp from Beyond Stamping
for the man.
I also used stamps from Paper Discovery for the
sentiment and guitars.
The paper is from Rock and Roll pack (SU).
I used a woodware punch for the music notes.
Everything has been coloured with markers.
Some sentiments also came from
A Grand Kid and Approaching Perfection (SU).

I would like to enter this into
old papers, dies and punches

Over at
we have a theme of hearts/anything goes.

We also have a lovely prize here too
so come and join in both challenges!

For my card I dug out an old stamp set
from Gorjuss Girls called
I gave you my heart.
She has been colour us with markers
and cut out.
I used some old SU papers and machine
stitched around the edges.
I die cut a heart from Tattered Lace and stitched
around this too.
I stamped my sentiment and hearts in red
using a few sets from SU called
Alphabest, Happy Birthday to you,
Circle Sayings, A Grand Kid and Yay You.
I finished with the sentiments and some
red ribbon and some card candi.

Little snippets!

I took a little time out to have a play
and use up some snippets to join in the challenge at

I pulled these out of my scrap box along with a very
old pack of LOTV stamped images I got free with a magazine
a long time ago.

The pieces look big but they really aren't and the card
is just a note size card 3 1/2" x 5"
but it will make a cute gift card for my granddaughter one day.

The stamp set I used is called  Circle Sayings (SU)
and the ink is polished pink (SU).
I added some lace from my stash and punched
a tiny little flower in pink and lilac leftovers
and finished with a little gem.
She has been coloured up with my markers.

Gift set

I'm sharing a card and gift box I made
for my son Deaglan's birthday this April.

The gift box is the same as the one I made for
St. Patrick's Day (HERE) and the card is a Teepee one.
Tutorial can be found here.

Dec does triathlons so I covered each side
with swimming, running and cycling.
The papers are from SU along with the stamp set
which is called Do the Impossible.
I also used Circle Sayings and Family Party stamp sets.

Stash Buster 7

I designed these gift holders a few months back
but only got the chance to make the video!
You just need a 6" x 6" sheet to make one
and they are the perfect size for money or gift card
with a little tag at the back to write on.

This is the back pocket for the tag which you could
add some decoration to if you were inclined.

I have made a bunch to have for a lot of occasions
as that is mostly what we give as gifts now.

You can watch my video tutorial here

Measurements needed to make one
Double sided dsp 2 pieces - 6" x 3"
Score one sheet at 2 1/2"
Score one sheet at 2 1/2", 5 1/2"
Some card to match for decoration
White card for tag - 3 1/4" x 2"

Items I used for mine
Circle Sayings, Warm Hugs and Itty Bitty Birthdays (all SU)
random papers from stash, bow die, melon mambo ink and card

After such a warm night it is now freezing cold and
the wind would cut you!
Walk done, hubby heading to golf so
after a tiny bit of housework I will finish off
bits I need for Christmas.
Who has their tree up?
I need someone to give me a shove in that direction!!

At the seaside!

It's my turn to choose the theme for the next two weeks at
and I want to see anything with a seaside theme.

For my first tag I have used a set called Circle Sayings.
I coloured the central image with my markers then
stamped cut, coloured and layered the little shells to decorate.
The sentiment was stamped above and I finish
with a knotted bow.
I did add some wink of stella but you couldn't
catch it with my photo.

Scrappy Friday

For my Scrappy Friday tutorial I followed a sketch provided by
Janie over at Crafter's Castle.

As soon as I saw it I knew it would be great for using up some scraps.
On this one I used scraps from the Subtles dsp pack.
The stamped items are from a set called Circle Sayings.

You can watch my tutorial here.

Anything goes

Our new theme over at
has been chosen by Sandie and she has made it very easy
with her 'anything goes' theme.

As our Grandson Tom's birthday is tomorrow I
thought I would make a little tag for his presents.

The background paper is from Bright and Beautiful dsp.
The cupcakes have been paper pieced at the bottom
and coloured with my markers for the tops.
I added the sentiment and some stars to finish it off.

I hope you get time to join us!!

Tag Tuesday challenge

Our new challenge theme over at
has been chosen by Michele and it's
Marie Antoinette!

I was a bit stumped trying to think of what stamps I had that
would fit the theme.
So I went with opulence and cut the tag out of More Dazzle paper.
I then stamped the cupcake from Circle Sayings and the
sentiment is computer generated.
I don't think Marie Antoinette actually said that in real life
but it was used in the film remake.
I finished with a piece of ribbon stapled to the top.

Thankfully my daughter arrived safely in Paris and is having
a great old time.
My  second eldest son was not as fortunate and his fence and several roof tiles
came down.
We are expecting Storm Jocelyn tonight,
again with very strong winds and yellow warning in place.
Stay safe everyone!

Scraps to go!

Do you have a bundle of Christmas scraps left?
Well if you can cut them into 1/2" strips this is one way
you can use a lot of them up.
I have a video tutorial you can watch here.

These scraps are from my Shining Christmas pack and a lot
where just strips of paper so perfect for this technique.
I finished of  the card using the Circle Says bundle
and the tree is from Beary Cute stamp set.
The curly ribbon is from my stash.

OMG the shops are so jam packed at the minute.
I had to go pick up a prescription from doc then take to
Shopping Centre. After manoeuvring my way through the crowds
I made it to the Boots only to be told they would have to order it in!
So I will have to do it all over again tomorrow!!
Visitors arriving around 10am tomorrow and babysitting the
Grandsons tonight to God knows what time lol.
Have a great weekend everyone!
