Tree Books!

I made a little tree decoration for my Grandsons.
The two snowmen and the penguin images are from Dora
and the Santa is from Mo's Digital images.
They have all been coloured with markers.

I made the book using mirri card and inside
there are pages for the boys to write what
they want, what they get. They can also
add New Year wishes and then fill them in
again next year and see how much they have
matured over the year.
I ran the cover through my dotty embossing folder
and added the first letter of each of their names.
I also added some silver twine and a star bead
to hang on the tree and a clear clip
with a tree brad attached to hold it closed.

They only measure 2 1/2" x 2"
so should hang ok on their trees.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Christmas Countdown

Today I am sharing the final part of this project and it's
a countdown calendar for December.

Again I used scraps from two different retired Christmas packs.
I only needed small pieces for each page.
The pages themselves were cut using balmy blue card
and I made a stand for it using real red card.
The numbers were cut using the same paper and backed onto
card so a lot of cutting lol.
Each page is decorated differently.
I have put them all together
to make it easier for you to see.

I decorated them with words, snowflakes and some stamped
snowmen.
When I had all the pages decorated and the stand made I used
my Cinch to bind them all together.
So it just sits displaying the days date until Christmas.

Here is a quick walk through of each page.

Let it snow!

So with our Christmas theme over at Stamping Sensations
I was inspired to keep it going!

I had this wooden blank lying about since last year and
thought it could do with a bit of pimping lol.
So I got out my Country Woods dsp pack and covered
the base, sanding off all the edges.
I die cut the large letters for my wording along with some
snowflakes which I layered up many times and added gems to.
Then came the stamping. I used two old stamp sets called
Snowman Season and Spirited Snowmen.
The snow people were stamped, coloured and cut
and stuck in place.

I was pretty pleased with myself lol.
I have another nice project to share using the Christmas
theme but will save that until next week.

We had a quick scoot down to Omeath today.
It started out very misty but eventually the sun shone through.
Beautiful breath of fresh air and the views were stunning!

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Peaceful Boughs Christmas star

My tiny little tree needed a new decoration.
Last year I made a little angel so this year I thought
I would do a star.

I used a piece of copy paper measuring
5" x 5".
I followed a YouTube tutorial for the fold.
When cut, I opened up and stamped the gorgeous
I then added some glue to the prominent lines
and sprinkled with some very light glitter.
The folds were all re-scored
before I added a little paper loop on the back
so I could add to the tree!

Pretty sweet sitting on my tree and has a
vintage feel to it.

I hope you are all set for Christmas by now.
I think I am well catered for, food bought.
We have kept it very low key.
No point going overboard and stressing out
when it's just the three of us.
I'll be back tomorrow with one last tutorial
and on Thursday I have a few scrapbook pages
to share then I will put my feet up!

Magazine Fold Christmas Tree

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas!
I'm ready to take the decorations down but doing my best to survive another
few days lol.
I wanted to share a first for me!
Have you ever tried magazine/book folding?
I saw one done on Pinterest and thought I would give it a go.
I used one of my very first Stampin' Up! Catalogues to make this
Christmas tree.
I sat it on top of a log for the fire and as I had no stars left
I used a little bell decoration and added a bow.
I sprayed it with sparkle and spray and covered  it in pink glitter.
It is very sparkly in real life, as is the decking outside lol.
Unfortunately you can't see the sparkle in the photo.

Well that's me! Enjoy your day and hopefully you will
get time to pop back tomorrow and see what else I have made.

QUICK REMINDER - starts 3rd January!!
