Birthday wishes

I made this birthday card for a friend.
I used a blue background card
and added some embossing lines using
my embossing board.
I then stamped the flowers and sentiment
and coloured the flowers with markers.
The stamp sets are called Framed Florets
and Love What You Do (SU).
I added some doodling and a
little gold bow to the flowers
and finished with some enamel dots.

my embossing board

Another hot day here.
The house is so uncomfortable and fans
just don't do it for me.
Have a nice weekend whatever you are up to!

News flash!

This card was made for my MIL for one
of her Grandsons.
Again it is so hard to make a personal card
year after year.
This boy is in his 30's and no particular
interests that I haven't already covered.

So I just used  the following items
paper - Paper Pizazz
Stamps - Beyond Stamping #2 + #5
Alphabest, Family Party, Approaching Perfection (all SU)
Markers, pearlised enamel drops and circle dies.

What a gorgeous day we had here
but dare I say nearly too hot??
For me anyway lol.
Keep hydrated and here's to a peaceful
sleep tonight.

Hugs & Purrs

I was lucky enough to win a pack of four stamp sets,
along with some ink pads and a stamping block
from the lovely Wendy from CreateKrafts!

She sells the cutest stamps along with
cross stitch kits and dies etc.
You can check her out on Etsy HERE.

So as soon as I got them I had to make something.
This cute set is called Hugs & Purrs.
I followed the sketch over at
and used some card from my stash
along with some old SU spotty paper.
I added the little flower embellishment
and coloured the kittens with my markers.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Birthday crosses

I had a birthday card to make for a Priest
recently and this is what I came up with.

The background paper (SU) was wrapped
with some lace then run through my sewing machine.
Next I used a Tutti Designs die to cut
the arch in white then recut to get the crosses
in the matching paper.
I glued onto a page blue background
and layered up with the crosses and
some pearls.
I stamped the sentiment using a set called
Timeless Tulips.
Next I added some flowers cut from
some old SU papers and I coloured
them up with markers and
stuck in place.
His name was generated on my computer.
I finished by adding two gems to the top.

Happy Hour!

I have another card for a June birthday.
This one is for my sister-in-law.

I went with a cocktail theme as she loves a party.
She's not a big drinker but is very social.

I used wood effect paper for the bottom
which I inked up in yellow ink.
For the background I used a stamp set
called Geared up Garage and inked the oil stamp
in yellow, lime green and bright pink.
I then stamped and die cut the glasses
using a set called Sip Sip Hooray.
I stamped, coloured and cut all the little add ons
with my markers.
I splattered some pink ink in the white
space and then stamped my sentiment.
I then arranged the drinks in place
and finished with a sentiment.
All stamps are from SU.

I've not been around too much these past few days.
My daughter went in for a Gallbladder removal and
something went badly wrong. She is still in hospital,
still has part of her gallbladder and is very ill.
She is getting an MRI now to see what the damage is
and they will go from there.
At my wits end!

Finally feeling back on power again!
Thanks so much for all the well wishes,

Birthday boy!

Another card for my Mother-in-law

well for his sixth birthday.
He has been coloured with markers and cut out
to fit onto the spotty background.
I used papers from Nitwits called big top
and I layered up the stars and added some
sentiments along with a die cut 6
for his age.

Building memories!

Happy Monday!

I have another personalised card for my
Mother-in-law to give to one of her Grandsons.

Cormac is into DIY among other things and with
the Beyond Stamping you get items to put in their hands
and one of them was a drill! Perfect.
So I used Nitwits download called Assembly Required.
I stamped the guy giving him joggers,
hoodie, boots and a drill. Cormac also
has a beard so I added that too.
He has been coloured up using markers.
The wording was all done on my computer
and layered in place.
