Spooky Folio

I have a bit of spooky fun today with this mini Halloween folio.
It will hold 12 photos and I also included some
little booklets to record the Halloween fun games etc.
I did loads of stamping inside, creating some spooky scenes
and tags.

I didn't come up with this myself, it is from a tutorial
I found on YouTube which you can watch HERE.

I used papers from The Works, some Tutti Designs dies
and stamp sets from SU.

You can watch a quick walk through here

Irish Thanksgiving

I was asked by a customer to make 20 of my coin boxes
for Thanksgiving with an Irish theme.
They will be on the Thanksgiving table as favours and the families
descendants are originally from Ireland.

So I stamped some shamrocks on the boxes along with
Happy Thanks giving and put a wee banner across the top
with Happy Thanksgiving and a little pilgrim turkey image.

Took me most of the weekend but I had to get them
done for her to post to America on the Monday!

I followed my own tutorial for the boxes here

The shamrocks are a little heart, stamped three times
and I used the letter 1 for the stalk.

Trick or treaters?

It's the second week of Michele's theme
something spooky over at

I pulled out another die set from Tutti Designs called
Trick or Treaters. I went horizontal this time to fit all the little
monsters in.
For the background I have used rich razzleberry ink,
marking where I needed to add colour for the stars and pumpkins.
I attempted to splatter some gesso but it wasn't playing ball lol.
The sentiment and webs were stamped using Banner Year stamp set,
then I added the die cut raised on some dimensionals.
I finished by added some eyes
and then mounting onto black card.

I hope you get time to join us.

Spooky things!!

The lovely Michele has chosen the theme at
and she wants to see

SPOOKY THINGS!!!

I dug out an old die I had from Tutti Designs called
Grumpy Frankie!
I cut him out a few times and paper pieced the colours,
added some black ink here and there and then
backed him onto black card so I could cut him out.
The tag itself is purple card, stamped with the word BOO!
in black ink (Banner Year stamp set SU).
I used the same stamp set for the sentiment, this time in
granny apple green. I punched it and sliced the bottom off
and added some black ink.
I stamped a few bats here and there too for that extra
spooky effect!!
The tag was finished with a piece of black ribbon
stapled in place with a yellow staple.

I hope you can come and spook us out with your tags
this fortnight!!

The bottles are recycled Beanie Coffee Jars :)

Here are the finished jars.

This is how I decorated the lids.

Bigger view.

I put a black cat on the back.

The backing papers and images are from Nitwits

Lots of fun to be had with this theme!!

For my tag I used a tree stencil, filling in the sky
and ground using watercolour pencils, then adding pumpkins and webs.
I finished with a sentiment and some bats of course!

Boo! - sketch 14

YES another Halloween card this time using sketch 14 from
Kendra's Card Challenge 3.

Again the colours just shouted Halloween so
I dug out an old stamp set from Tim Holtz for the cat and embossing folder.
Everything else came from Banner Year stamp set.
I tied the two papers with pumpkin pie card
and the sentiment was stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink.
The embossed background was ink using Granny Apple Green ink.

We ventured out this morning to a large furniture shop.
Just about 200 yards from shop the road was closed so we
had a 15 minute detour to circle right around to get to the shop lol.
Sadly nothing purchased this time but interesting drive!
Have a great weekend everyone.

Scrapbook Thursday

I have a double page layout for Sean's
Halloween fun!

The inspiration for my layout came from this sketch over at

I have used retired papers and inked them up for that spooky look.
The little bats etc came from Banner Year.
The star of the pages is of course Grandson Sean!
