News flash!

This card was made for my MIL for one
of her Grandsons.
Again it is so hard to make a personal card
year after year.
This boy is in his 30's and no particular
interests that I haven't already covered.

So I just used  the following items
paper - Paper Pizazz
Stamps - Beyond Stamping #2 + #5
Alphabest, Family Party, Approaching Perfection (all SU)
Markers, pearlised enamel drops and circle dies.

I used a Tattered Lace die for this shutter card.
The papers are from a Basic Grey set called Sultry.
Stamp sets used
Happy Birthday to You, Alphabest, Approaching Perfection
and Painted Seasons, all SU.
I added ribbons, brads, pearls and a leaf punch.
The flowers have been double stamped and cut and layered.

September Tag-along (and ATC's)

It's time for a new theme over at
and our optional theme has been chosen by Lynn
and she wants us to use
things with wings.

For my tag I followed a tutorial on YouTube from
Treasure Books, HERE.
She was making a teabag holder so I went with tag holder.

It's a lovely fold using 6"x6" papers
and inside I could fit another two tags.
So the front is a tag, inside holds two tags
and there is a little mini tag that holds it closed.

I used yellow card (SU),
paper scraps from my stash (SU),
stamp sets called
Delightful Day, Approaching Perfection and
Framed Florets.
I also used bakers twine, a brad, butterfly punch (SU)
and my sewing machine.

For my ATC I used a piece of scrap paper
and in the centre I stamped using a set from
Papermania called Chronology.
I then added some flower stickers to the corners.
I machine stitched around the edges and added
some black ink for definition.
The dragonfly was stamped, gold embossed and punched using
an old set from SU called Dragonfly Garden.
I inked it up with my blending brush and
added some gold pearls.
I finished it off with some wording from
the same sheet of paper which I ink blended
to match the dragonfly.

 challenge at
where the theme is feminine along with option anything goes.
Just remember to STAMP something!!

We do have an amazing prize up for grabs
so be sure and get your entries in.

For my book style card I used a hammered white card for the base.
I cut an inch of check paper for the side,
embossed two lines either side of it and stuck in place.
I added two eyelets and tied some white ribbon
through them.
For the image I stamped the background in sweet sorbet ink,
then over stamped some black polka dots.
I then stamped the two shoes onto matching
and co ordinating papers,
cut them out and paper pieced them, adding some black
to the heels and insoles.
They were then stuck in place.
The sentiment was stamped directly onto the base.

Items used
Dress to Impress stamp set (SU)
Country Gingham papers (SU)
Sweet Sorbet ink pad (SU)

For my midway post over at
where the theme is four legged friends,
I have made a shaped easel card.

I cut my base and top card using dies from
Tattered Lace.
The Country Gingham papers were on my desk
so I used them again for this card,
alternating the checks inside and out.
The dog was stamped using a very old stamp from
Home & Heart and he has been coloured using
my pencils and sansodor.
The sentiment is from a set called
Approaching Perfection (SU) and cut
using the same die set.
I found a very old paw print stamp so used that
in the corners.
Think it was QVC a long time ago!!!

We have two lovely prizes up for grabs
so be sure and get your entries in.

Anyone for tea?

It's time for my mid month DT card for
where the theme is anything goes option Autumn Colours.

We have a great prize from

I found an old pack of teapot templates from Craftworks and decided
to make one for my Mother-in-law's birthday.

I traced the template onto my chosen papers and
cut it out. The papers are also Craftworks.
I inked the edges using pumpkin spice ink and
glued to the template.
I then covered a separate lid in the same way with
a different piece of paper and inked it up.
I attached a rectangle of card to the lid
and stamped a message using  a stamp set called
Approaching Perfection (SU).
The birthday sentiment is stamped and punched using
a bundle called Oval Occasions.
I then stamped two of each flower from a set called
Floral Essence. I cut them out and layered them up.
The centres have been made using some pearlized enamel effects drops.
I then stamped the leaves in old olive ink and punched them out.
I doubled up the back of the teapot to make a pocket
for my lid to slip into.

I then added the flowers and sentiment and finished off
the handle by wrapping some green twine around the handle
and added two beads to the ends.
The bow was then added to the removable lid.

I hope you get time to join us this month.

Beautiful Balloons

I made this card for my nephew Brendan from his Granny.
He is turning 40 next month!!
I went with a fun fold celebration card using
Beautiful Balloons stamps and die.
The fold is nothing exciting, just two creased, concertina folded
and a front added.
I used Country Woods papers as they have a nice manly feel.
I stamped and die cut lots of balloons and some stars for the top.
I used the Alphabest set for the numbers on the balloon.

Inside I stamped the sentiment on the left along with some candles
from a set called Approaching Perfection.
The sentiment on the right has been printed from my computer
and die cut with a rectangle die.

Pretty Birthday Card

Happy Monday!
Hope you all over did it with the chocolate yesterday 😂

I'm starting my week with a birthday card request
for one of my customers.

I was inspired by a card I saw online but I cannot find out
who actually made it.

So I used  the lovely
Forever Fern stamp set to create the leafy background
I then inked around the edges in
matching colours.

The flowers were stamped using the
I coloured them with wink of stella and melon mambo ink,
cut them out and added some gems.

I used the stitched rectangle dies for the sentiment
which was stamped using Approaching Perfection
which was free during Sale-a-bration!

The sides where cut on my fancy edge cutter
and a line of embossing added for more detail
It was all finished with a lovely spotty bow.

Ok so it is absolutely freezing outside and it was yesterday too.
We sat out in the afternoon with my son, daughter-in-law and 2 Grandsons.
So so cold, I had a blanket wrapped around me lol,
but was so great to get time with the boys.
Then last night we realised the oil had run done!!
So with it being the Easter break we won't have oil until Wednesday
or Thursday. Rooky mistake there!!!
So the fire was lit and this morning we had a tiny fluttering of snow
but the sun is shinning and hopefully it will stay clear of us.
Keep warm and enjoy the rest of the week.
