Is this meant to only be whilst people are current interns, or should we tag post-intern graduates like @Mooeypoo etc.? :-)

How can one be a Code-In intern, considering that it's a contest rather than an interning program?

@majavah good point. I thought code-in was an internship, but I was wrong. I've updated the badge.

@Jdforrester-WMF, I think this badge can be awarded to past interns as well. Reason being that, after the badge gets awarded to current interns, removing it after the program is complete would be a lot of work as the cycle continues (add, remove, add, remove etc).

So, @zeljkofilipin, we can make it such that, all interns that we've had in Wikimedia per: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Outreach_programs be awarded the badge (hence only once and no removal) IMHO. With that, we can easily from phab know all Wikimedia interns :)

I'm fine with applying this badge to all people that were interns, as soon as I don't have to do it. 😁

I'm also fine with not removing the badge when the internship is over.
