Home Visitor Wrap-Around Training Sessions

Wrap-around training enhances core training for home visiting and parent education staff by providing essential skills and fostering collaboration across programs to ensure high-quality services for families and children.

Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative, person-centered approach that helps strengthen a family’s motivation for change. This learning opportunity includes a two-day core training and a one-day refresher to support practical skill-building and real-world application for home visitors and family support professionals.
Soothing the Storm: Helping Families Navigate Infant Crying”
April 14, 2026 | 8:00am - 12:00pm | ZOOM
This 4-hour training will strengthen home visitors’ understanding of Shaken Baby Syndrome and the Period of PURPLE Crying while offering practical tools to help families cope with infant crying and prevent harm. Learn how to educate and support parents with empathy, clarity, and confidence.
“The Dad Effect” - Four Part Training Series
May 7, 2026 & June 4, 2026 | 9:00am - 11:00am | ZOOM
This 4-part virtual series explores the vital role of fathers in child development and family well-being. Participants will learn strategies to overcome common barriers, practice cultural humility, and gain tools to better engage fathers in home visits. Includes a self-paced module through the Institute for the Advancement of Family Support Professional, group discussions, and applied learning with the families you currently partner with.

Join Prevent Child Abuse Delaware for the 2026 Reflective Supervision Network Meetings, a virtual space for supervisors to connect, share insights, and explore common challenges in their work. 

These meetings (held from 9:00AM to 11:00AM) offer a supportive forum for discussing Reflective Supervision, supervisory challenges, and case consultation.

Scheduled dates include February 17th, April 21st, June 16th, August 18th, October 20th, and December 15th, all hosted on Zoom.
