Confronting Whiteness

Confronting Whiteness (CW) is a movement community of people who are striving to become anti-racist in their spheres of power and influence. CW invites people on a facilitated nine-week small group spiritual journey of reflection, conversation, and transformation where we confront the ideology of whiteness in a container of spiritual practice and by engaging with literature and films from the black intellectual tradition in America. CW also invites participants who have completed the journey to become trained facilitators of this modality in their local community. Additionally, CW hosts ongoing accountability training sessions for our facilitators and yearly conferences on themes like reparations. Over 1000 people have completed the CW course, and over 100 people have become trained CW facilitators across 15 states. The CW movement is a wide-ranging, inclusive, and close-knit community that is always open and ready to welcome new friends on the journey.
