Heartfelt Thanks

Hello there my crafty friends!  For today's card, I started by cutting a piece of amethyst card for the background.  I used an old Creative Expressions stamp that looks like cracked glass  and stamped it all over the background using a black ink pad.  Next, I cut the Elegant Floral die with two pieces of white card.  I used the bottom card (that just embossed the design into it) and coloured the design with markers.  Once coloured, I glued the other white die cut card on top.  I added it to the background with mounting foam.  I cut the Heartfelt Thanks sentiment in black and glued it to the top of the die cut.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4"  x  8"  in size.

As promised, the winner of the Christmas Die release is..........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................Sued99!!!

Congratulations!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your postal address and claim your prize!  All for now. Sue x

Merry Christmas

Hello crafters!  I still have a lot of Christmas cards from last year to share with you, but I promise I will share some of this year's samples with you next week.  I started todays sample by cutting a piece of white card and I scored it across the card with my score board.  Next I used the Floating Bubbles stencil on a piece of blue card and used Periwinkle Sparkle Texture paste through the stencil.  Once dry, I cut it into two pieces and added the larger one at the bottom of the card and the other one at the top of the card.  I cut thin strips of silver mirror card and glued them across the join area.  Using Jamie's Christmas Kaleidoscope die, I cut three of them out of  periwinkle card and backed them with silver mirror card.  I added all three to the middle of the card with mounting foam.  I cut the Merry Christmas die out of white and silver mirror card, then shadowed it with the silver card and glued the words to the top and bottom of the card.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8" x 8 1/2" in size.  All for now. Thinking of You

Hello bloggers!  To begin, I embossed  piece of white card with the Padded Quilt embossing folder.  Next I cut the Jayne die out of lilac card and the Harper die out of white card.  I cut the lilac die cut card in half and then glued the white Harper die cut to it, pushing the cut die outward from behind. I cut the Harper die again but just the inner lattice part with the middle part added to it, leaving the outer part of the die this time.  I cut the middle part a second time out of lilac card and glued it on top.  Next I cut the Daisy Cluster out of two pieces of white card.  I coloured one of the daisies with a lilac marker, then added the white die cut on top.  I hand cut a single daisy out of it and added it to the bottom of the die cut once assembled.  I used the Thinking of You sentiment cut out of both lilac and black card.  I shadowed it then glued it to the centre lattice part of the die cut.  The card was completed with white and lilac card mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  9 1/4"  in size.  All for now. Peace

Hello crafters!  I started by cutting a piece of white card.  I used Distress inks to make the sky.  I sponged Sailboat Blue, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide inks in a diagonal across the top of the card.  I cut two hills out of white card and glued them to the bottom of the card.  I used a white paint pen and tapped it all over the top of the card for the stars.  Using the Snow Covered Pine Trio and created three trees by cutting the base tree out of white card with a piece of gloss white card on top.  I used the pine base which when cut on the bottom left an embossed pattern of the pieces of the pine tree and I used the fall away pieces from the gloss white card to glue them onto the pine trees. I added all three trees with mounting foam to the card.  I cut the Peace sentiment out of both white and black card.  I shadowed the white Peace and glued them into the top corner of the card.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Pierced Poinsettia

Hello my crafty friends!  We are at the final post of the launch, but I just had to add this beautiful poinsettia set to the collection.  Introducing the Pierced Poinsettias.  There are six dies in this set, with three sizes of poinsettias to fit all your needs and leaves and centres too.  There is a beautiful pierced design on the petals of the flowers giving you an extra detail to your floral elements.  I think these really elevate your Christmas cards to another level.  For the last time this launch I will ask you to leave a comment so you can get the maximum number of post entries into the drawing.  Don't forget to check back on the 10th to see if your name was the one that was drawn out as the winner!  All for now. Holly Lattice Border

Hello bloggers and welcome to the final day of the Christmas die release blog launch.  we are showcasing the Holly Lattice die during this post.  You may have noticed this die on the last post yesterday, but I thought I would share this card as it shows different ways in which you can use this very versatile die.  There are five dies in this set that can be used all together or in separate sections, depending on your needs.  It can be easily nipped apart as I have done here and used in other ways too.  I think you are going to want to try to win this die so add your comment on this post if you do.  There is one final post today and it will be along at noon.  All for now, Sue x

Merry Christmas

Hello bloggers!  The final post of the day is for the only sentiment in the collection.  Introducing the Merry Christmas sentiment.  While I have done various styles of Merry Christmas des over the years, I have really enjoyed these block lettering dies with debossed elements in each letter.  This one is done in the same way as the Peace and Joy dies from last years collection.  Although it is difficult to see in the photograph of the card, you can see the detail a bit better on the packaging below it.  There are two dies in this set, the Merry Christmas and its shadow backing die.  If used together, you get a nice imprint of the letters so it makes lining it up a breeze too.  Leave your comment and don't forget that we still have a couple more dies to share tomorrow morning!  All for now. Heirloom Flourishes

Hi there my crafty friends!  The next die set that I am showcasing is the Heirloom Flourishes.  This set has two dies in it with the two flourishes facing different directions so they will be useful in any card or project you have in mind.  I have used them here as accents around the poinsettias, but I have still used leaves as well.  These flourishes look great wherever you use them and they can easily be nipped down into smaller sections if need be.  If this set has caught your eye, then why not leave a comment on this post.  You never know, your name might be the one drawn out as the winner!  The final post of the day will be online at 6pm today.  All for now, Sue x

Vintage Crystal Snowflake

Good morning all and welcome to day two of the blog launch.  The first die on offer is the Vintage Crystal Snowflake.  This is the largest snowflake that I have ever done as I wanted a snowflake that would make a bold statement by itself.  There are two dies in the set with a shadow die that surrounds the snowflake that can be used if desired.   If you have been on the hunt for such a die, then don't forget to leave a comment on this post in hopes of winning this collection.  I shall return at noon for the next offering.  Looking forward to seeing you back here then.  All for now. Hi crafters!  Welcome back to the final post of the first day.  I am showcasing the Holly Wreath Octagon in this post.  I specifically picked this card to share so as to show how you can use just one section of the die to make a beautiful Christmas card.  This set also has six dies within and has been divided into three different sections.
