The AWS Women Reinventing Energy (WRE) group was founded in 2022 with a primary focus on fostering the development, advancement and recognition of women’s contributions within the Energy industry. WRE serves as a volunteer-led affinity group for women, non-binary employees, customers, partners, and allies in AWS Energy, supporting organizations, and the industry at large.

AWS is focused on moving the needle positively through company-driven efforts to increase diverse representation. WRE’s mission is to expedite gender equity in the energy sector by fostering a strong community and promoting the growth of women professionals. We strive to establish strategic partnerships with customers and partners, thus furthering gender equity in the energy industry.
