Contractor here, mostly small web projects. About a third of my invoices get paid late, and a couple a year never get paid without me escalating. I've tried net-15 terms, deposits and late fees written into the contract. Deposits help, but the follow-up emails still eat an afternoon every month. Curious what other people do. Automate the reminders? Hand it to an accountant? Just eat it?
