Hello fiends,
A new challenge starts today at the Double D Challenge blog. Team Darlene is hosting this challenge with the theme “Trees”. This is such a fun challenge, I hope to see your card linked up at the Double D Challenge blog. The team have created
beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile.
I used a cute die set I bought a while ago to create a slimline Christmas card. I die cut several pine trees and layered them with mirror tape, for dimension, on the gingham background. I also used distress ink to add more colour and depth to them. The red car and red stars bring the necessary contrasting colour into the whole scene. I finished off with an oversize gold mirror board sentiment.
I entered my card in the following challenges:
- The Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge #105 (ends 11/23) – Anything Christmas Goes
- Merry Little Christmas Challenge MLCCB#40 (ends 11/30) – November Anything Christmas Goes
- Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge #3 (ends 11/18) – Anything Goes Christmas
- Dies R Us Challenge #181 (ends 11/28) – Always Anything Goes with a brand they sell (Dies: StudioLight die set “Winter Charm” (STENCILWC326) — Creative Expressions Craft die “Festive Mini Expressions – Stacked Merry Christmas” (CEDME014))
