A new challenge starts today at Double D Challenges. Team Darlene is hosting this with the theme “Showers and Flowers”. You can use anything in the picture as inspiration for DD_Showers&Flowers your creation – we would love to see what you come up with. The team have created beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile. The prize to win for this challenge is a beautiful umbrella die!

I was inspired by the bright colours, flowers and umbrellas in the photo. I used a floral designer paper which I layered onto vibrant yellow card-stock for my background. I die cut three umbrellas in colours to match the background paper and then embellished them with die cuts, wax cord bows and roses. The umbrellas were then added with mirror tape for dimension on a oval border for interest. I finished off with a stamped sentiment a few raindrop shaped gem stones.

Hello friends,

A new challenge starts today at Double D Challenges. Team Diane is hosting this challenge with the theme “Banners”. The team created beautiful cards to inspire you – a DD_Banners visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile.

I love all the colours in the inspiration photo and therefor decided to use a colourful striped designer paper as background. I stamped a cute little bunny on a white tag and did the colouring with watercolour pencils. The tag was then layered with mirror tape for dimension on the striped background. I added a die cut banner in matching colours and embellished it with wax cord bows and little flower blossoms. I finish off with tiny die cut hearts and a sentiment.

Hello friends,

Today’s creation is inspired by the new challenge at Double D Challenges. The theme is “St. Patrick’s Day” and with a lovely inspiration photo you can create anything St DD_StPatricksDay Patrick’s Day or use all or any of the colours green, white and gold. (Neutrals added are also okay e.g. black, ivory, browns, grays). For more information about the challenge and the lovely prize visit the Double D Challenge blog, get inspired and link up your creation.

I decided to use the colours green, white and gold for my card. I used green designer paper for my background and then layered an embossed brick panel on top of the base card with mirror tape. A green die cut wreath is my focal point with a cute little mouse holding a shamrock leaf as added interest. I finished off with a wax cord bow, gold pearls, and a die cut sentiment.

A card to share for the new challenge at Double D Challenges. The theme for our challenge this time is “Focus on the Sentiment”. Please visit the Double D Challenge blog and see the wonderful card samples from our talented designers and join in the fun! We have a prize to give away to one lucky player which will be chosen by Random.org. while a Top Creative Winner and Top 3 will be chosen by the Design Team.

I used a bold sentiment die cut to create a rustic card for this challenge. The sentiment is my focal point layered on an embossed piece of kraft paper. I stamped the old country roses and leaves (Gina K Designs stamp set) with several colors of distress inks and then fussy cut them. The roses were layered on the background with mirror tape for dimension. I finished of with a few gemstones.

A card to share for the new challenge at Double D Challenges. The theme for our challenge this time is “Pearls, Gems or Rhinestones”. Please visit the Double D Challenge DD_Pearls, Gems & Diamonds blog and see the wonderful samples from our talented designers and join in the fun! We have a prize to give away to one lucky player which will be chosen by Random.org. while a Top Creative Winner and Top 3 will be chosen by the Design Team.

I used the green and pink colors from the inspiration collage to create a quick and easy card for this challenge. I used a pretty fairy die cut as my focal point layered on a piece of designer paper. I framed the image and layered it again on designer background paper. The fun part was to glue all the little gemstones and hearts randomly on the card to give a magical feel. I finished of with a die cut sentiment.

I hope you are all doing well. Today’s post is about the new challenge at Double D hosted by Team Diane. The theme for this challenge is “It’s A Jungle Out DD_Jungle There” – so let’s see something to do with a jungle. For more information about the challenge and the lovely prize visit the Double D Challenge blog.

For my card I used two little monkeys as focal point. They are so adorable and it was great fun to put all the die cut parts together to let them come to life. Some die cut leaves and colorful flowers on a pretty floral background give a “jungle” feel to the card. I added the swinging monkeys with mirror tape for dimension. To finish off I added a “Happy birthday” sentiment. Hope you like my take on the challenge.
