If you try to join with a new journal that has no posts and little or nothing in its profile, your membership request may stay in the queue for a while. The mod will periodically check your journal to see if you've put anything out there to go on. Membership requests expire after 2 weeks if not approved or rejected. You may submit another, but do so after you've written something in your profile and made a few posts.
