Open Company is built and maintained by Zeenie AI. The source is public on GitHub under the zeenie-ai organisation, and the software is free to run on your own infrastructure.

You set a token budget. Work is dispatched to the AI employee that owns that function, which completes it and returns finished output rather than a suggestion. Each run reports what it cost in tokens and what it produced, so the loop from spend to result is auditable.

Yes. The source is public on GitHub and the software is free to run. Your only cost is the LLM tokens you consume through your own model provider keys, plus whatever infrastructure you run it on.

Self-hosting is the default and intended deployment. It runs on your own servers, so documents, customer data and financial records never leave infrastructure you control.

It is model-agnostic. You supply your own provider keys and can use over 200 models through OpenRouter, or point it at models you host yourself.

You need to be comfortable deploying self-hosted software. Once running, work is assigned in plain language — you do not build the workflows step by step, because each AI employee already owns its function.

Those are workflow automation tools: you design the sequence of triggers and actions, and the tool executes exactly what you specified. Open Company assigns an outcome to a role instead. You do not draw the workflow — the AI employee responsible for that function decides how to complete it and reports back.

Those are agent runtimes and coordination layers — OpenClaw is a personal assistant connecting models to your files and messaging apps, Hermes Agent is a long-running agent runtime with persistent memory, and Paperclip is a governance and org-chart layer that supervises other agents. Open Company ships the organisation itself: fixed business roles, a token budget going in, and revenue tracking coming out, as one self-hosted system.
