Santa Snowman - Whippersnapper Stamps

Here is another old Whippersnapper Stamp I have gathered from my stash and this one is Santa Snowman.

I'm a little behind on my holiday cards so there's not a lot of variety and I do have a few days because Canada is in the midst of a postal strike.  It's been a couple weeks and there's no sign of a settlement yet.

I used Unchartered Mariner and Chipped Sapphire distress ink for the background, sprinkled and embossed with some Shabby Blue Frantage. The sentiment is Papertrey Ink's Larger Than Life Snow die.

Twigs - Whippersnapper Stamps

I've dug out a couple of stamps I've had for ages and ages and one of them is Twigs from Whippersnapper Stamps.  I have not purchased a stamp on a wood block for many years so that should tell you the stamp is old.  Fabulous red rubber which stamps perfectly the first time!

I used Unchartered Mariner and Chipped Sapphire distress ink for the background, sprinkled and embossed with some Shabby Blue Frantage.  The sentiment is Simon Says Stamp Clean Line Christmas.

Finally, a chance to use this Whippersnapper stamp I've had in the box 'curing' for about 4 years now.
It's time for a new challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' and the theme for this month is 'Penguins or Polar Bears' so A Hug for Ike was perfect for it.

Hallowe'en Witchy

Had a great day today where I got to spend it doing nothing but making Hallowe'en cards.  This one is for one of our special little people & it will include a bit of money so if Mom & Dad want to let her buy candy, they can.  Looks like this hag ate too many candies because all she has left of her teeth is that one lone chiclet sticking out of hr mouth.  The image is a Whipper Snapper stamp & the ticket is a Tim Holtz from Stampers Anonymous & then I added the sentiment from a Stampedous clear set.  That ticket stamp is so, so versatile!  The ribbon was a roll I found at Michael's & the glitter flowers were cut with Cuttlebug dies.  I just knew I needed those black Stickles (& you know how I love Stickles!) & I'd bought some purple at the same time.  Well looky here... I used them both!  Even a witch can use a little bling.
I've entered the card in the following challenges:
Simon Says Hallowe'en - Oct 20
Mark's Finest Papers - Stripes - Oct 15
Ellephantastic Anything Goes Challenge 15 - Oct 15
Pollycraft Monday - Anything Goes - Oct 11
Gingrloft Challenge - All That Glitters or Blings - Oct 16
If the Shoe Fits - Pick a Holiday - Oct 22 Ta...Da.... I won a Shout Out!
Aly's Sunday Sketch - Hallowe'en - ends Oct 23

Chester

Here's my 2010 Easter card & it features Chester the bunny & is a Whipper Snapper stamp.  I cut the oval with my Nestabilities & yes, it does open as a card.  I used my Copics to colour him, a little dab of ribbon & that's it.

Whipper Snapper - Megan & Cloe

I did up a couple Whipper Snapper stamps & did the cards in the same style.  The first is Megan  & the one holding her little bunny is Cloe.  I love those Whipper Snappers!  They have very cute & whimsical stamps.  The cardstock is an ordinary plain white & I used Stampin Up's French Script inked in Tim Holtz's Frayed Burlap distress ink.  I'm just starting to use more of his products & am liking them a lot.  It just occurred to me... if a person was married to Tim Holtz, you could have every colour of Distress Ink & every colour of Stickles, one of each of his stamps he has... oh my....
My daughter has introduced me to the Nellie Snellen die cuts which are fabulous.  I used the oval for the outer ring & then my Nestabilities oval for the inner.  I couldn't decide if I should add some flowers to jazz these cards up so I settled & did one of each.
