Hola a todos. Como sabéis, hoy es viernes, y toca autora invitada. Me he encontrado a Sandra Estévez muy atareada por Twitter, y me entró la curiosidad. Y una vez puesta a investigar, me pareció que a vosotros también os gustaría saber más sobre esta escritora y su obra. Así que, ahí va.

Sandra Estévez Calvar, nacida un trece de septiembre en Porriño – Pontevedra. Diplomada en Contabilidad, ejerciendo dicha actividad durante 16 años en empresas del sector privado.
Su andanza por la escritura comenzó en la época de estudiante, cuando escribía novelas de amor y sus compañeras se las rifaban para leerlas, quedando apartada durante unos años por motivos de trabajo y maternidad. Debido a una traumática experiencia laboral, se zambulló de lleno en la escritura, como una alternativa a sentirse viva y útil, realizando varios cursos de escritura creativa a distancia, y escribiendo su primer libro.
Autora de las novelas “Entre el miedo y el amor”, “No me dejes ahora” y “Entre ángel y demonio” publicadas en Amazon. También ha participado en el I Concurso de microrrelatos – libro digital “Mis vacaciones Ideales”. En su blog se puede encontrar variedad de reseñas de libros que va leyendo, y relatos propios de índole romántica erótica, otros reivindicativos. Carole sees the actual murder and each murder as it happens to the witnesses. The police chief, Billingsley, understands her ‘gift’ and sets up a sting to catch him. It fails and they have to regroup to think of something else. Two witnesses are dead and they don’t want a third to die.

I love historical fiction so much but have read little to nothing that deals with late 19th century American history so was thrilled to pick up author Hunter S. Jones’ “Secrets from a Dangerous Time”. The story of Casey, who is struggling to survive in the South post-Civil War and ends up joining a traveling medicine show run by Dr. Garret Cleighton. The chemistry between the two is pretty immediate and intense but Casey has her share of secrets. I loved the historical elements to the story as well as the original tale woven throughout. Looking forward to part 2 in this great adventure.

Es viernes y como sabéis toca autor (hoy autora) invitada. Como ya os he comentado formo parte de un grupo de autores y lectores en Goodreads, Café Literario pero no siempre puedo participar tanto como quiero. Hace unos días recibí un mensaje de una de las administradoras, Concha, informando a los otros miembros que una de las escritoras estaba promocionando sus obras. Biografía del autor

Mi último: ¡Sí, acepto! de Stefanía Gil

Jen Campbell está convencida de que el amor, no está hecho para ella. No después de haber sido engañada de la misma manera en sus dos matrimonios.

As you know, on Friday I usually bring you new books and/or guest authors. It’s always with great pleasure that I can bring you new books by authors who have already visited my blog (as that proves that writing is alive and well). Today, Marie Lavender, who is not only a great writer but also an staunch supporter of other writers, has a cover reveal for her new book ‘A Little Magick’ and I’m very happy to be able to bring it to you.

Hola a todos:

Tenía planeado hacer un post especial para anunciar que había sobrevivido a la etapa de subir los 6 libros (los mismos 3 en inglés y español) a las diversas plataformas para que estuvieran disponibles en preventa, y luego hacer un post normalito, pero descubrí que el proceso me había destruído unas cuantas neuronas, así que… decidí anunciarlo oficialmente y ver si me recupero un poco.

Así que ahí va.

―O… K… Y… ¿a qué le debo el placer de tu visita? Si me vas a anunciar algo… Me podrías haber avisado con algo de antelación.

La luz ahora parecía irradiar del “cuerpo” entero si eso era lo que tenía delante de mí. De algún modo su actuación era mucho más creíble que la de G. Y asustaba más.

―No es un anuncio como tal. Pero deberías saber que G…

―¿Sí?

―Sé que te ha dicho que es un ángel.

Le miré. Quizás era distinto a G pero podía ser tan cargante como él. Y metomentodo.

―Sí. Yo también “sé” cosas. En mi caso es porque “yo” soy un ángel. Él no te ha contado la verdad sobre su identidad.

¿Qué más podría pasarte después de la muerte y la resurrección de tu madre? ¿Qué más podrían hacerle a Pink el Cielo y el Infierno? Bueno, para empezar, le envían un niñero infernal nuevo, que está muy bueno. Y aunque les gusta a todas, solo tiene ojos para ella. Cuando Pink se entera del precio que costó el ‘milagro’ de salvar a su madre, se da cuenta de que tiene que ir con mucho cuidado, ya que el Infierno no es buen perdedor.

Una de sus amigas quiere encontrar el hombre perfecto, la otra se está viendo con alguien de quien no quiere hablar, hay un demonio que no sabe cuándo abandonar, y un ángel que tiene su propia agenda. ¿Qué cielos o qué demonios estaba pasando?

—Así que… ¿Has venido solo para quedarte ahí sentado como una momia? ¿Qué ha pasado desde la última vez que hablamos?

—Bueno… cosas…

Esto se estaba poniendo de lo más ridículo. Yo no le había llamado a él. Si él se había tomado la molestia de venir debía haber algo que me quería decir, preguntar, o lo que fuera. ¿Estaba pasando una crisis, o qué? No era como si antes hubiera tenido el más mínimo problema para hablar conmigo. Vale, mucho de lo que me había dicho habían sido mentiras, pero seguía siendo hablar. Quizás si le distrajera con algo…

—Cuando te vi ahí fuera, me preguntaba… ¿Te hace falta hacer eso?

—¿Qué? ¿Quieres decir, “flotar”, como lo llamas tú? No, supongo que no. Pero me he dado cuenta de que es una buena manera de llamar la atención de alguien.

—Bueno, sí, supongo, pero no me refería eso. Lo que quería decir era, esperar ahí fuera. ¿Es como con los vampiros? ¿Os tienen que invitar antes de que podáis entrar?

G me miró con una expresión que no había visto nunca. No estaba segura de si era incredulidad, desilusión o el desdén más absoluto.

—¿Vampiros? ¿Que si somos como vampiros? Los vampiros no existen. No podemos ser como ellos. Solo son historias tontas. Tú eres una chica inteligente. ¿Cómo puedes creerte tal tontería?

—No me lo creo. Pero tampoco pensaba que existieran los demonios. Y no estoy segura de haber tenido una opinión en firme sobre los ángeles antes de todo esto. ¡Y fíjate en ti!

—¿Así que ahora te crees que toda la basura paranormal es cierta? Hombres lobo, hadas, fantasmas…

—Brujas… —añadí.

—Bueno, las brujas son un asunto algo diferente. Lucifer siempre ha tenido sus seguidores y seguidoras.

Y como no hay dos sin tres:

Asuntos angélicos 3: Pink, ¿ángel o demonio?

OK, OK, OK. Pink por fin lo ha entendido. Es la Elegida, le guste o no. El Cielo y el Infierno la están presionando cada vez más, y sus enviados están más cerca de casa que nunca. Than cerca que no los puede ignorar. Y ella hará todo menos eso.

Tenga el tiempo que tenga, está decidida a hacer que cuente. Solucionará los asuntos de sus amigas, ayudará a su familia, y vivirá la vida un poco. Y luego, se pondrá al mando. Porque nadie va a poder decir que Pink se rindió sin luchar. Por grande y malo que sea el enemigo.

Un par de trocitos:

Me miró tan fijamente que sentí como si estuviera metiéndose dentro de mí.

―No. No tengo novia. Nunca había encontrado a nadie de quien me sintiera tan cercano… hasta ahora.

Y entonces se inclinó hacia mí y me besó. Y aunque no oí sonar campanas ni vi fuegos artificiales, fue increíble. Era una locura, un lío tremendo, estaba mal, él no era mi tipo. ¡Dios! ¡Ni siquiera era humano! Pero aún y así, yo no quería que se acabara. Y es posible que aún siguiéramos allí si no fuera porque Jackson empezó a toser detrás de nosotros evidentemente para alertarnos de su presencia.

―¿Vas a matarme?

―Ya os dije…

―No, esta vez soy yo la que pregunta. ¿Vas a matarme? No quiero que intentes ser amable o no disgustarme. Necesito saberlo. Creo que me merezco saberlo. Si, como dices, te importo… No me enfadaré, no me pondré triste. Por supuesto que no me gustará si me dices que lo harás, pero lo soportaré. Solo necesito saber con qué cartas estoy jugando. Para planear mi partida.

Ella cerró los ojos durante unos segundos. Entonces los volvió a abrir y me miró fijamente.
