Chris Boggs shared thisChris Boggs shared thisAs part of our Benefits Boost package, we offer 26 weeks of fully paid parental leave for TSB people starting or growing their whānau. Lauren Van Costello, our Senior Learning and Development Advisor, recently returned to work and shares what this benefit, and our flexible working arrangements, mean for her and her whānau. “Getting this support from TSB while I was on parental leave was literally life changing. It has taken so much stress away from the day to day, leaving me to simply enjoy my time with my new little person. “Having the flexibility to return part-time for now is really helping me and my family ease into this new, busier life with two kids. “TSB are putting their money where their mouth is when it comes to people in terms of these benefits, but also the culture itself. I can be myself at work and am treated like a real person who also has a life outside of it.” Want to join us? Chris Boggs liked thisChris Boggs liked thisThe Future of Work is Already Here. The question is whether your organisation is ready for it. Workforce transformation is no longer something leaders can put on the horizon. GenAI and agentic AI are changing how work is performed, the capabilities organisations need, and the way teams and leaders will need to adapt. But navigating this change isn't simply about adopting new technology. It requires leaders to ask bigger questions: • What capabilities will we need in the future? • How will our workforce need to evolve? • What work should change — and what shouldn't? • How do we build an organisation that can adapt as the landscape continues to shift? On Wednesday, we're looking forward to having Martyn Watts, Senior Executive & Management Consultant, join our group for a practical conversation on Navigating Workforce Transformation & the Future of Work. With more than 30 years' experience working with complex organisations across Australasia and internationally, Martyn brings a wealth of experience in organisational strategy, workforce transformation, operating model design, and transformational change. This promises to be a highly practical conversation about how leaders can anticipate what's coming, build organisational resilience and ensure their organisations remain future-ready. #Leadership #FutureOfWork #WorkforceTransformation

Chris Boggs liked thisChris Boggs liked thisIt’s been 5 years since my agency recruitment days, 13 years since my HRBP stint, and 15 years since my data engineering days — which honestly feels like a lifetime ago. Since then, it’s been an exciting journey through RPO, internal recruitment, strategic sourcing, talent intelligence, technology and, more recently, AI. Sometimes I look back and think, gosh, I’ve learned a lot along the way. I’ve achieved things I’m really proud of, taken on challenges I probably never imagined I would, and somehow kept finding new things to be curious about 😁 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗮 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗹-𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿-𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁. Just a reflection. Because I’ve genuinely enjoyed this journey of learning, growing, connecting the dots, connecting with people, forming bonds, and learning from those around me. If anything, it has reminded me that 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲. Sometimes the different experiences, skills and interests you pick up along the way are exactly what help you see things differently, solve different problems, and keep growing. I’m looking forward to continuing that learning journey - taking on new challenges, pushing myself into areas I don’t yet fully understand, and continuing to connect ideas, people and possibilities in ways I probably couldn’t have imagined 15 years ago. And with that, I want to thank everyone who has been part of the journey so far... those who have supported me, challenged me, taught me something, believed in me, or simply shared a laugh along the way. You’ve made the journey a little easier, a little more interesting, and a lot more fun. Chris Boggs liked thisChris Boggs liked thisA startup offered job interviews to anyone who got a tattoo at their party Seven people said yes!!! Everyone's talking about the founder's judgement...... But I keep thinking about those seven people, because the prize wasn't a job It was a first conversation! That's what a cooked job market does to people. And before we tut from a safe distance here in NZ: the unpaid weekend "test project," the five-round process for a mid-level role, same bargain, quieter version. No needle required Best gut check from the whole saga: would your process still feel fair if the candidate walked away with nothing? Chris Boggs liked thisChris Boggs liked thisA new chapter begins... Excited to share that I'm joining the team at ZURU on a short contract, helping shape and support their global Talent Acquisition strategy as they continue to scale rapidly. It’s only Day 2, but it's clear this is an incredibly ambitious business achieving some amazing results on a global scale. The pace, energy and opportunities ahead are super exciting. And, keeping to the family theme of ZURU, this one's a little bit special for me as I get to work alongside Connor Muirhead. Not sure how many father/son combo's there are around the recruitment world, but it promises to be some fun times! There are some exciting plans for the People & Culture and Talent teams, which means we’ll be looking for some exceptional people to join us. I’ll share more as roles become available, so if you’re interested in being part of one of New Zealand’s fastest-growing global companies, watch this space. Felix Rothas Jaja K. Chris Boggs liked thisChris Boggs liked thisAll good things must come to an end! 3.5 years ago I was given the opportunity to bring Fonterra’s Talent Acquisition team in-house and build something that we hoped would become a best in class function. It was an opportunity too good to miss. To bring together all my past experience and execute it in a sleeping giant of an employment brand at a critical time of change and with the total support and backing of the leadership team. And any journey is only as fun as the people with you. So we got some of the old band back together and added a bunch of new talented peeps and set off to create something special. And as the team’s impact grew, so did our remit—expanding into Early Careers, Executive Talent and DE&I along the way. And personally I think we nailed it! It has certainly been the most fulfilling time of my career in terms of the trust we’ve been given which enabled us to deliver so much so quickly. Too many people to thank individually - but you know who you are. Whether a teammate, colleague, partner or supplier, so many people have played a part in making this such an awesome time. I’ve always believed Talent Acquisition should aspire to be a trusted, strategic partner that delivers real value to the business. As I step away (perhaps permanently…) from leading large internal functions, I’m incredibly proud that we achieved exactly that— and at New Zealand’s largest business. I’m excited to see where the next chapter leads. But for now, I’m simply grateful for the opportunity to have worked with such an incredible team and to have helped build something that has and will continue to make a difference. Chris Boggs liked thisI am pleased to share that I have accepted the role of GM Data, Digital & Technology at Powerco and I'll be starting there in September. Before I leave WEL Networks I want to make sure they have identified a new GM to keep leading the charge to make WEL a truly digital EDB. There is a great team and some robust digital foundations already in place so the new leader will be able to hit the ground running. If you know someone that might be a great fit for this role, please encourage them to apply.Chris Boggs liked thisLead the future of technology at WEL. We’re looking for a General Manager Data, Digital & Technology to shape and deliver WEL’s enterprise technology strategy. This pivotal leadership role will drive digital maturity, strengthen data capability, and oversee everything from enterprise systems and digital platforms to operational technology and cyber security. Working closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, you’ll translate business priorities into quality outcomes and build a high-performing team focused on collaboration, accountability and service excellence, all while partnering with industry, suppliers and regulators to unlock innovation and value. Chris Boggs liked thisChris Boggs liked thisI’m pleased to share that I’ve stepped into the role of Managing Partner and Business Unit Leader for our Tech & Transformation business at Deloitte New Zealand from 1st June. It’s a genuine privilege to lead this team. Every day, I see the depth of capability, commitment, and care our people bring to helping clients create and protect value in an increasingly digital and AI enabled world. The real opportunity and responsibility is integrating strategy, transformation, engineering, data, technology, and people ensuring we deliver outcomes that matter, not just solutions. I also want to acknowledge Darren Wood, Cobus Scholtz, and Matthew Hitch. Each has played a significant role in shaping what this business is today, and I’m grateful for the foundations they’ve built. Its also great to continue to work alongside Darren Wood in his new role. I’m looking forward to continuing that journey alongside our people, clients, and partners building on what’s already strong and shaping what comes next together.
