“Lest we Forget”. Remembering our brave service personnel on ANZAC DAY. We were out this morning, to witness the Dawn service and parade in Commemoration of ANZAC Day. It was moving to see so many people out on this lovely morning to commemorate this important chapter in the history of New Zealand and Australia's armed forces. From retired service personnel to familes with their children, everyone was there to commemorate the occasion with solemnity and respect.

About us
Our key focus is, enabling Members to be informed about, understand and support, the Crown’s Defence and National Security procurement programmes. An essential element of this focus is NZDIA’S role, in conjunction with many Government procurement programmes, of creating opportunities to share industry innovation and thinking, with Defence and other agencies, to help shape their decision making and future capability vision. NZDIA delivers to members through a wide range of mechanisms. The most valuable is creating opportunities for face to face interaction, learning and trust building, between defence and other agency staff and industry.

Now that Christmas is nearly here, the NZDIA would like to extend a huge Thank You to the New Zealand Defence Force, Ministry of Defence and all NZDIA Member Organisations for helping make 2025 such a successful year. The year included a record number of new members joining the association, as we continued to hold regular NZDF Engagement events, Social Networking functions and Prime Defence Supplier Information opportunities. We have already been looking to 2026 and have a schedule of events already in the works for the first half of the year. We hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The NZDIA joins the world today, on Armistice Day, in remembering the fallen soliders of World War I who valiantly gave their lives. The Armistice, signed between the Allies and Germany, called for the cessation of hostilities on the Western Front and took effect at 11:00 am on November the 11th 1918 — the "eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month". Their sacrifice lives on in all of us who live in the modern world that our fore-fathers fought to protect.
