About this theme
Nyiur is a header Tumblr theme for writing-heavy blogs. It’s simple and clean with readable fonts. A good theme for writers and blogger, but not limited for others. A redesign of my old theme that was made in 2016, under the same name.
Theme options
- Customizable colors: up to +15 custom colors.
- Hero Top & Footer Bottom Background Image
- Disqus Shortname. If you have your own account, you can enter your username to enable it.
- Avatar shape. You can change between a circle or a square.
- Masonry Layout
- Font Body and Font Size
Features
Responsive layout and looks good on a mobile screen, a dark mode toggle button to switch between dark and light mode for your blog—the dark mode comes with a predefined color scheme, featured posts using a tag system, localizations, and many more.
How to add a custom link to this theme?
You can add as many custom links as you want through Tumblr pages, and the process is very simple, here’s how:
- Go to the customize page.
- Scroll down until you find ‘+Add a page’.
- Enable ‘Show a link to this page’.
- Select “Link” from the dropdown menu (for custom links) and if you want to make a custom page (for example, an ‘about’ page), just don’t change anything from the dropdown menu and leave the ‘Standard layout’.
- Add the URL, page title, and page body text as you wish and save.
How to add the featured tags on the suggestions box?
- Navigate to your blog’s settings (https://www.tumblr.com/settings/blog)
- Scroll to the Featured Tags section
- Click the pencil icon and add a tag, then click the Add button.
Once you’re done, Tumblr automatically generates a list of tags on the suggestions box!
How to add post items to the featured slideshow section?
- First, on the customize page, enable it by scrolling to the theme options until you find the ‘Featured Posts Slideshow Section’ dropdown and change it to 'Show.’
- Once done, please tag your favorite posts as #featured, and they will automatically appear in the section.
- It might take a moment for the posts to show up. If you don’t see any, try hard refreshing and clearing your browser cache.
- You’re all set!
How to enable the Table of Contents Heading Section?
- Simply tag your post with #toc on the posts where you want the table of contents to appear
- And you’re done!
How to shorten a long post?
Just tag your post as a #long post and it would automatically add an expand button with the post being cut off.
