Hard to believe, but the 4th of July is not all that far off. It seems that spring hits and then it’s the 4th before you know it, and then, poof, summer is soon over. And how do you all celebrate the 4th? Do you go to the parades and various activiites, have a BBQ at home or with friends, go to the beach, or perhaps boating? For us, being farmers and the 4th being in the midst of hay season, it’s pretty much a regular work day for us, assuming the weather cooperates. But even though we don’t hit any parades or party type events any more, I do believe that the festive and patriotic 4th of July projects are among my very favorite all year around! Let’s see what Deb is sharing today (always a treat)!
Deb’s card today is super fun – like the card that keeps on giving!
This card is 5.5″ square – a fun size.
This is the fun-filled card front with a dimensional star, a mini envelope filled with little treats to take out, our impressive eagle and a fun and festive bow.
The gold embossed eagle and small sentiment are from The American Eagle by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.
The small tag was cut using Tag Collection by Tim Holtz (Sizzix).
The large dimensional star was cut using Stars Five by Spellbinders.
The envelope was die cut using Postale by Tim Holtz (Sizzix).
The Seam Binding used is from our Vintage Neutrals Sampler.
A mix of designer papers were used, combined with a FAB result. Papers are from:

Here’s a close up of the star that Deb scored from center to each point and valley to give it some lovely dimension.
And in the photo above, note the envelope full of goodies.
If you aren’t much for coloring, or are in a hurry, note how gorgeous our lovely eagle looks embossed in gold, rather than tediously colored. Options! We love that!
And as to the envelope, note that is is now empty.
So, what was in it?????
These fun little pieces filled up the envelope. How fun to take them out. AND if the recipient is the crafty type, she can re-use these on another project(s) she might like to make – too cool!
The heart was cut using Spellbinders Classic Hearts.
The hand (and envelope) were die cut using Postale by Tim Holtz (Sizzix).
The stamped sentiment is from The American Eagle by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.
The sentiment was cut using the Fishtail Sentiment Banners by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.
The 4th of July and the Flag were cutouts from the patriotic paper pads used.
I love how Deb used the gold paper linked up above and cording to make the flag pole.
And here’s the inside. Just perfect to finish off this fun project.

And the star is cut from the star die and gold paper linked above.
