🔋 Charging Infrastructure as Part of a Self-Sufficient Energy System At Powerlines, we develop integrated energy solutions that combine charging infrastructure, energy generation and storage into one seamless system. A recent project for Jürgen Freytag GmbH & Co. KG demonstrates how this works in practice: Together with our partner Kempower, we delivered charging infrastructure for electric trucks, including a battery energy storage system, and integrated it into the company's fully self-sufficient off-grid energy concept powered by: ☀️ Electricity generated from the company's own photovoltaic system 🔥 Renewable energy produced from wood pellets As a result, the company's electric trucks can be charged independently of the public grid, creating a resilient and sustainable mobility solution. 🎥 In this video, Jean-Marie Gerbaulet, Powerlines Head of Sales E-Mobility, shares insights into the project and explains how the charging infrastructure and battery storage system were seamlessly integrated into the existing energy ecosystem. The waste management industry is undergoing a profound transformation: decarbonisation, alternative drive technologies, and the expansion of charging infrastructure are becoming key enablers of sustainable municipal mobility. Our team with Marco Nipkow and Thomas Schmidt, is currently attending the Entsorgertage in Selm and is looking forward to engaging with representatives from waste management companies, municipal utilities, and local authorities about the challenges and opportunities of electrifying commercial vehicle fleets. With our integrated eMobility solutions, we support organisations on their journey toward zero-emission mobility – from grid connections and energy infrastructure to high-performance charging infrastructure, as well as PV and battery energy storage solutions (BESS). 🤝 Kick-off of our Ethics & Compliance Training Series At Powerlines, Ethics & Compliance is one of our three “must-haves”- not just a guideline, but a lived value. It´s the basis of how we operate, make decisions, and build trust with our customers and partners. Last week we´ve successfully kicked off this year’s Ethics & Compliance training series at our headquarters in Austria. This first session marks the start of a group-wide initiative that will be rolled out across all our countries and entities – ensuring a shared understanding and consistent standards throughout Powerlines. A big thank you to Simone Marschler for driving and organising this important training series, and to Bernd Grama and Grama Schwaighofer Vondrak Rechtsanwälte for delivering insightful and practical training sessions. By strengthening awareness and reinforcing best practices, we continue to foster a culture of integrity, responsibility, and transparency across our organisation.
