🚨 Exciting news! 🚨 We have raised $250 million at a $2.1 billion valuation to accelerate the next phase of autonomous mobility. Led by Mubadala and co-led by Woven by Toyota, Toyota’s growth fund, and Ion Pacific, the Series C will support the expansion of our autonomous vehicle operations into new markets around the world. Autonomous driving technology is advancing rapidly. Turning that technology into transportation networks that operate safely and reliably at scale requires vehicles, charging, maintenance, purpose-built depots and round-the-clock fleet operations. We are building that infrastructure. Through our partnership with Waymo, we are already a leading third-party autonomous fleet operator, with operations live in Phoenix, Miami, and future operations in London. This funding will support the expansion of our autonomous vehicle business, including autonomous fleet ownership and robotics-first depot infrastructure “Nests”, where autonomous fleets are charged, serviced, maintained and orchestrated for continuous operation. The funds will also be used to support new market launches, globally. From launching with 76 vehicles in Lagos in 2020 to operating approximately 42,000 vehicles across 29 cities today with 3,300 employees globally, we have spent the past six years building mobility infrastructure around the world. This latest investment marks a major milestone in our journey and the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Moove and the future of global mobility. Moove is building the infrastructure behind the next generation of ride-hailing and becoming a mobility powerhouse in the process. When Tingting Peng joined Moove in 2021 as their first executive hire, the company was preparing for its Series A. Today, as Chief Transformation Officer, she has helped scale the business into a global platform partnering with Uber and Waymo. Founded by Ladi Delano and Jide Odunsi in Nigeria with a revenue-based financing model, Moove learned early to design around volatility. In our latest Scaling at Speed, Tingting shares how the mobility platform turned traditional emerging market constraints into a truly global advantage. • Access to vehicle ownership remains one of the biggest structural barriers facing e-hailing drivers in South Africa. We are excited to share that more than 166 drivers have completed Moove’s 48-month Drive-to-Own programme, becoming vehicle owners for the first time. Over the next 12 months, more than 1000 additional drivers are on track to follow. For many of these drivers, traditional finance has not been accessible. The Drive-to-Own model was designed to provide a structured, predictable pathway to ownership, combining telematics, safety standards, and fixed weekly payments to support long term stability. Ownership is not immediate. It is built over time through commitment, repayment discipline, and operational support. South Africa has a deep pool of mobility entrepreneurs. Our focus remains on scaling responsibly, improving the customer experience, and expanding access to asset ownership in a way that creates long term economic opportunity. Congratulations to the drivers who have graduated so far. More to come!

  • Four years ago in Ghana, Moove put its first customers on the road, proving that access to vehicle ownership could unlock real economic opportunity. Last month, 30 customers completed that same journey, graduating from the programme and stepping forward as independent business owners. And this is only the beginning, with 50 more drivers expected to graduate this year. At the graduation, customers spoke about funded university educations, family health recoveries, job security, and resilience in the face of economic uncertainty. "I was homeless for several months after losing my corporate job. I joined Moove and turned this around - I was able to pay for my rent and establish my own business" - Solomon Dzifz Dartey, Moove Customer. This milestone reflects the work of the Ghana team and the wider Moove community, and is a reminder of what’s possible when access, ownership and ambition come together.

🚨 Exciting news! 🚨 Moove has announced the expansion of its partnership with Waymo to bring autonomous ride-hailing to London. As Waymo’s fleet operations partner, Moove will help lay the groundwork for the launch of Waymo’s autonomous ride-hailing service in one of the world’s largest and most dynamic mobility markets. Building on its established operations and deep local expertise, this partnership marks a major milestone in Moove’s journey to redefine global urban mobility, and the first time Waymo will partner at scale outside the U.S. By combining Waymo’s world-leading technology with Moove’s operational know-how, the two companies are moving London closer to a future of safer, cleaner, and more accessible city transport. Ladi Delano, Moove Co-Founder and Co-CEO, said: “We’re excited by a future where Waymo’s safe and reliable autonomous technology is available in London, transforming how the capital moves. This partnership represents a major step forward for urban mobility, bringing world-class innovation to one of the world’s greatest cities. For Londoners, this marks the beginning of a new era, one where safe, efficient, and sustainable travel becomes part of everyday life.” #Waymo #Moove #AutonomousVehicles #Mobility #Innovation #London https://lnkd.in/e7V7eRaG
