The little boat if from a MFT set, the scalloped arch is SSS and the sentiment an oldie by DeNami Design. Simple and cute. Just what I needed after taking a fall onto the concrete patio. Missed the last step and down I went. Sprained my ankle and wrist, hit my head, bruised my shoulder, scraped my knuckles... OY! Things are healing. Colorful, but healing!

Just Us Girls #813 ~ Good Luck!

 

Hey there! I'm back today with a card for our Just Us Girls challenge. Sue is kicking off the month of March as our hostess for DIE WEEK and we have Milla joining us as our guest designer! I made a fun shaker card. I think we'll give this one to Sweet P to wish her luck on the chess tournament she has coming up next week!

I used a pretty Rounded Rectangle Frame by The Stamp Market to create the shaker. All of the pieces where cut from green cardstock and kept intact. It's backed with PP and filled with sequins and confetti from Pretty Pink Posh. My shamrock was made from Poppystamps hearts and a swirl for the stem. A DeNami sentiment was stamped on a PPP tag and everything popped onto a sweet embossed panel.

Signs of Winter!

Brrrr.... is it cold in your neck of the woods? It sure is here. It's was a crazy morning weather-wise too. One minute there were white out conditions, the next the sun was shining, then more snow! And now... WIND! Seemed like the perfect time to take advantage of Joanne's CAS Signs of Winter Card Challenge at The Paper Players.

I brought my sweet Impression Obsession Snow Baby out to play today. Copic colored and added to my favorite PPP tag die. I added a large DeNami snowflake to the background that was paired with a smaller Hero Arts image. No sentiment. I'll add it when I decide what to use this one for.

Just Us Girls #796 ~ Trick or Treat!

Hey there! It's time for a new challenge at Just Us Girls. Sue has chosen HALLOWEEN as her Word Week challenge. I put together a little something for Sweet P!

I used some Lasting Impressions polka dot paper to cut a PTI pillow box. It's decorated with layered circles stamped with DeNami Design images. A few snippets of ribbon, twine and a button for decoration and it's good to go.

You know, I don't know if Sweet P likes candy corn, but I do know she'll like the Reese's Pumpkin that's tucked into this box!

Just Us Girls #793 ~ Thankful for You

Hey there, are you ready for a new mood board from Just Us Girls? Bobby picked this pretty autumn scene for us. Here's my take on it!

I used an older PTI set to create a cluster of fall sprigs. They were attached to a die cut square (PPP) of 'wood ' paper and popped onto the embossed panel. A DeNami Design sentiment was stamped onto a PPP tag. I used a pumpkin colored brad to attach the tag. It was my nod to those Jack Be Littles! I coated the cotton with Wink of Stella, but it refused to be photographed!

Just Us Girls #792 ~ Count Your Many Blessings

 

Carol has a fun Word Week challenge for us at Just Us Girls... CONTAINER! I had lots of ideas and finally settled on this pretty little tea pot die from Paper Sweeties. It's an oldie, but a goodie as is the cute patterned paper I used. Take a look...

I remember making a card with this same paper a few years back. I must have loved it so much that I cut two, because this one was ready to go! The sentiment was tucked in the die pouch as well. I broke out an old DeNami Design stamp for the steam (I think I used that on the other one too!) and popped on a few rhinestones. A simple and cute container!

Okay, you know the drill. I'm sure you have some container stamps or dies in your crafty stash. Pick something and come play along. We would love to have you join us!

Just Us Girls #772 ~ It's Birthday Time!

Hi there! It's time for a new challenge at Just Us Girls. Ina is hosting stencil week for us. I made a playful card for a first birthday. Take a look...

 

The DeNami polka dot elephant was stamped using PTI's Berry Sorbet Ink. I cut it using a die from TMS and popped it up with foam circles. My stenciling was done using Citrine ink. That's a hard one to photograph. It shows up more yellow than green! Some sweet PTI printed Berry Sorbet paper was added along with a fun banner (Poppystamps) for the sentiment.

Now I'm on the hunt for a cutie little elephant toy of some kind to go with the card. I like to match the card to the gift! I look forward to seeing your stenciled works of art in our gallery this week. You know you have a stencil or two to choose from!

Just Us Girls #769 ~ You're a Hoot!

 

It's die week at Just Us Girls and Sue is looking for anything but flowers. That's an easy one! I had just the die to use in my arsenal that was recently gifted to me. Take a look...

The Dreamy Frame die by Waffle Flower is so darn cute! I popped a speckled navy blue paper behind the frame then added my sweet little owl (POD) that's perched on a branch. A fun sentiment (Denami) was layered up and it all went onto a soft stone card base. Easy peasy!

Just Us Girls #756 ~ Thinking of You

Hello and Happy New Year! Are you ready for another round of Just Us Girls challenges? We look forward to seeing all of your marvelous makes in our gallery this year. If you're chosen as our Winner of the Week you have a chance to be our guest designer just like Annette Elias who is joining us for the month of January. Welcome Annette!

We have a new challenge added to our line-up this year... {Use a Die}. It will be up to each hostess as to what die you can use. Our first one is anything goes, your choice! I chose a fun bottle die by The Stamp Market. Take a look...

My bottle was die cut three times with white cardstock and once in mirror teal. There's also a layer of acetate thrown in so I could turn it into a shaker. The little hearts came in the die set. I cut them from white cardstock and colored them with Copics. A hole punch was used to cut the aqua circles. The teeny flower sequins are PPP. I stamped a strip using a couple of PTI's Beautiful Bloom flowers. I popped all of this onto an embossed background (TSM), the peach panel and then the card base. That cutie little bow and tag are also included in the bottle die set. I found a small DeNami sentiment in my stash that was the perfect size for the tag.

Sweet P makes a card!

Hello friends! I have a cute little card to share with you today made by Sweet P! I picked her up from school on Friday and we hung out for a wee bit before driving her to a birthday party. Mom let me know she had forgotten a card for the gift, so Sweet P decided she wanted to make one! I do apologize for the photo, it's a tad dark. We remembered while in the car on the way to the birthday party! I took a quick snap in the driveway!

Like our Sweet P, her friend loves to read. She said she wanted to stamp something with books and I remembered this cutie little Purple Onion bunny. She colored him with Copics then stamped the grassy rocks and wee butterflies. She wanted the bunny to be laying on his tummy in the grass, so she colored him a little patch with a Copic marker. After stamping the sentiment, she thought some clouds would look good. I said why not stencil some? "Okay gramma, that sounds like fun!" Lets just say, that was her favorite thing to do and her favorite part of the card!

I think it's adorable and her friend Harper loved it! 

Just Us Girls #721 ~ Sprinkling Some Happy!

Hello sweet peeps! Are you ready for another Just Us Girls challenge? Ina has picked some happy spring colors for you to create with. We have our April guest designer joining us today. Welcome Colleen Begley, we're so happy to have you with us this month!

While looking for my colors, I came across this small scrap of mustard polka dot paper. It was the jumping off point that took me in this cutesy direction. The fairy chickie is by DeNami Design. She's popped up on a PPP circle tag topped with a ME bow. Her little wings are glittered! Those festive banners are an oldie from Reverse Confetti. I added a few rhinestones in coordinating colors to top everything off.

I look forward to seeing how Ina's colors inspire you. Our gallery is going to be a bright and happy one this week!

Merry Christmas

LeAnne is this week's hostess at The Paper Players. Her challenge is a CAS card with a tag on it. I had the perfect polka dot tag just begging to be used!

The little RC tag was in my pile of Christmas paper snippets to be used up. It was just the right size for this sweet Stacey Yacula (POD) bunny, Birch! I stamped him with kraft ink them clear embossed him and trimmed him out. A couple of holly sprigs by Simply Graphic bring out the green in his cute little hat! I thought the playful font on this DeNami sentiment suited him well.

Just Us Girls #695 ~ Love You a Bunch!

 

Hello and a happy Labor Day Weekend to those of you in the states! We're off to an air show today. Our son has reserved box seats for the family and the weather looks good! The hubs is happy that the Air Force Thunderbirds will be there. Brings back memories of the shows we used to see on base in Florida when our son was just a little guy in his stroller!

 

But you came here for a card, so lets get to it! It's Saturday and that means a new challenge at Just Us Girls. It's also a new month and that brings us a new Guest Designer. Please give a warm welcome to Stephanie Lanzalotto! I'm hosting color week and am looking for aqua and apricot. They seemed like September colors to me!

I've never seen a gingham bottle, but if I did I think I might have to buy it! I used this little cutie from The Stamp Market. I bought one of their butterfly die sets this summer. She's making her debut here today. Her top wings are embossed for some added fun! The dotted swirls in the background are by DeNami and the shaker fillers are PPP.

My eyes fell upon the map when I first saw the photos. The map paper I used has a fun texture to it. After adding the shaker element, I topped it off with a sentiment from the same paper pad and a few die cut sprigs. The little compass is an oldie but goodie from DeNami.

What a Wonderful World

 

Hello and happy Saturday! It's time for a new challenge at Just Us Girls where sweet Nancy has a lovely Moodboard for us to work with.

 

I was inspired by the pretty hydrangeas and the photo to it's right. I knew I wanted to work that arch into my card.

I did some light pink stenciling (SG) on a white panel then cut the arch, stamped the sentiment, then added the arch back to the panel for the inlaid look. Next came the pink hydrangeas (DeNami). I Copic colored and fussy cut them. Those delightful Poppystamps butterflies were a last minute decision. They look right at home, don'tcha think?

I had some leftover bits hanging around and they all came together for a cute little card! I think I'll send it over to the Happy Little Stampers: Anything Goes with Dies challenge.

 

This is a Sweet P card for sure! After I got everything put together, it needed just a little some something. I remembered my XOXO stamp from DeNami. But then I had one of those moments. When I write that in a card or on a note, I have always written it as XOXO. It felt odd to stamp it the other way LOL! Call me crazy but it had to match the hugs and kisses sentiment. Os are hugs and Xs are kisses. This looks so strange to me! How do you write it?

Hi friends! It's Saturday and that means a new challenge at Just Us Girls. Sue is our hostess for word week. Heart - yup, I've got that covered!

 

I went all out whimsical on this one adding lots of hearts and a pair of cutie patootie gnomes from Simply Graphic. Aren't they fun! The embossed hearts in the background are a freebie 3D embossing folder that came with my Sizzix machine. The other hearts are PTI, hugs and kisess by DeNami. I think I'll send this to my mom and dad for Valentine's Day!

I decided to take the cute route with a little turkey from PPP and an oldie but a goodie PTI fence die. After I scattered on some patterned leaves (PPP) and rhinestones it looked a little too plain, so I added a fun frame by Pink and Main!

Hello sweet peeps, I'm back again! This time with a reminder that you still have time to join us at CAS Christmas! Who doesn't love a little sparkle and/or shine for the holidays? And let's face it, who doesn't need to add to their Christmas card stash?

I used the same scallop circle frame die (TSM) that was on my first card, this time it's the large die. The sweet image it's framing is on oldie called Little Angels by Stampendous. The furry parts of their coats and hats have a heavy layer of sparkly Stickles on them. The wings were flooded with a glittery Gelly Roll pen. I think the playful font on this sentiment (DD) pairs well with the cute stamped image!
