I published two FOWC With Fandango prompts last night. One for the word “shaft” and one for the word “misconstrue.”

Here are my proposed remedial options for you:

1. You can respond in a single post using both prompt words.

2. You can respond with two posts, one for each of the two prompt words.

3. You can respond by choosing one of the two prompt words and ignoring the other.

4. You can choose to not respond to either of the prompts.

But be warned that if you do option 4, I might misconstrue your lack of engagement and assume you are a Chinese bot. Or maybe that will be your way of giving me the shaft for screwing up so badly.

Anyway, it’s in your hands now.

My Last Photo — July ‘24

Brian, aka Bushboy, posted his monthly Last on the Card prompt, where he asks us to…

  • Post some of the last photos from our camera’s SD card or the last photos from our phone taken in the month of July
  • No editing — who cares if it is out of focus, not framed as you would like, or the subject matter didn’t cooperate?
  • No explanations needed — just the photo will do.
  • Create a pingback to Brian’s post or link in the comments.
  • Use the tags “The Last Photo” and #LastOnTheCard.”

This month I’m taking advantage of Brian’s third instruction: “No explanation needed.” I’m sure that when you see the photo below, which was taken in our garage at around 4:00 pm on July 31st, there will be no need for an explanation.

As a reminder, the photos posted herein were taken with my iPhone 15 Pro Max, and have been resized (shrunk) to make them load more quickly and take up less space in my WordPress media folder.

The question is about favorite brands, not bands! And I was excited because my challenge word today was “band,” so in my excitement, I misread the prompt.

Gatewayer57 is Real!

I owe Gatewayer57 an apology. In a post earlier today, I questioned whether Gatewayer57 was a real person. In fact, I was pretty sure she was either a spammer or a bot. Why? Because I received 43 likes in a row, each on a different post. And not a single comment! Plus, when I clicked on her avatar, it was a dead end.

But it appears that I was mistaken. Gatewayer57 is a real person, not a spammer or a bot. In fact, after my post was published, she commented:

So let me publicly offer my apologies to you, Gatewayer57, for having assumed that you weren’t a real person. My mistake. Thank you for reading my blog and for liking my posts.
