Bouquet

Here's a very clean and simple card - so simple, in fact, that there's even no sentiment! Sometimes you just need a card without any sentiment, right? The stamp I used is a collaboration between Memory Box and Simon Says Stamp called Fresh Cut Bouquet, I coloured the image with my Copics. I then masked the edges of the panel and very lightly ink blended the background with Distress Oxide ink in Bundled Sage. Lastly, I embellished the card with some gems.

AAA Birthday: June - Kesäkuu

 

It's time for the June challenge at AAA Birthday and fittingly for June, the theme is Flowers. As our Guest Designer, we have the wonderful Libeeti joining us. This is also a bittersweet challenge for me as this will be the last time I join in with a DT card. I'm stepping down from the Design Team as there is just too much going on in my life at the moment (all good things but things that keep me way too busy) for me to be a good DT member. I want to thank Jane and all the wonderful ladies on the DT for everything, I have loved being a member of this wonderfully talented Design Team.

My last DT card features a stamp from the Simon Says Stamp/Memory Box collaboration stamp set called True Friend. I coloured the image with my Copics and added a few accents with a white gel pen. I then die cut the panel with Penny Black's Leaf Stitched Frames die and before lifting the die, I sponged some Distress Oxide inks in Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap on the panel. I heat embossed my sentiment ('Birthday Wishes') onto a strip of black cardstock and adhered it to the panel before adhering the whole panel onto some purple cardstock. Lastly, I embellished the card with some half pearls.

Kesäkuun haaste AAA Birthdayssä on Flowers eli kukkaisia synttärikortteja pitäisi tehdä. Guest Designerina meillä on Libeeti. Tämä on samalla minun viimeinen kertani DT-porukassa, sillä jättäydyn siitä pois. Elämä on vain liian kiireistä tällä hetkellä (hyvällä tavalla kiireistä, mutta kiireistä kuitenkin), kaikkea ei ehdi. 

Käytin kukkakorttiini Simon Says Stamp/Memory Box-leimasettiä True Friends. Väritin kukan Copiceilla ja lisäsin hieman valkoista geelikynää. Paneelin stanssasin Penny Blackin Leaf Stitched Frames -stanssilla ja mustetin paneelia hieman, ennen kuin poistin stanssin. Paneelin kiinnitin violettiin kartonkiin ja tekstin embossasin mustalle kartonkisoirolle. Lopulta koristelin kortin puolihelmillä.

AAA Birthday: January - Tammikuu

It's start of a new year and a new month - and time for a new challenge at AAA Birthday. For this month's challenge, we're asking you to use your two favourite colours on your birhtday cards. As our Guest Designer, we have the wonderful Francesca joining us. There's also a Micro Blog Hop going, I'll share the details later on in this post.

For my two favourite colours, I chose pink (what a surprise, ha ha!) and grey. I coloured this stamped image by Memory Box called All the Happiness with my Copics using pinks and greys. I kept the background simple by adding a panel of light pink cardstock with a grey die cut panel (die cut with Penny Black's Geometric Circles die). I heat embossed my sentiment (it says 'On your birthday') onto a strip of black cardstock and after adhering everything in place, I embellished the card with some light grey sticky back pearls.

Vuoden ensimmäinen haaste on alkanut AAA Birthdayssä ja sen aiheena on Two Favourite Colours. Eli kahta lempiväriä pitäisi synttärikortissa käyttää. Guest Designerina tässä haasteessa meillä on Francesca. Menossa on myös Micro Blog Hop, jonka tiedot englanniksi tuossa yllä.

Omiksi väreiksini valitsin pinkin ja harmaan ja väritin tämän Memory Boxin All the Happiness -setin leimakuvan niitä värejä käyttäen Copiceilla. Taustalle laitoin pinkkiä kartonkia ja Penny Blackin Geometric Circles -stanssilla stanssatun paneelin. Tekstin embossasin mustalle kartonkisoirolle. Lopuksi kiinnitin kaiken paikoilleen ja koristelin kortin vaaleanharmailla puolihelmillä.

Happy Father's Day - Hyvää isänpäivää

It's Father's Day today and this is the card I made for my Dad. I used beautiful stamps by Memory Box in collaboration with Simon Says Stamp called Life's Path. It's a fairly simple card, I just stamped the images and coloured them with my Copics before layering the panel onto first green, and then onto dark grey cardstock. The sentiment says 'Happy Father's Day'. I embellished the card with some enamel dots.

Tein tämän isälleni isänpäiväkortiksi. Leimoina käytin Memory Boxin Life's Path -leimasettiä. Kortti itsessään on aika simppeli, väritin vain leimakuvan Copiceilla ja kerrostin vihreälle ja harmaalle kartongille. Tekstileimat ovat Heidin Korttipajan. Lopuksi koristelin kortin muutamalla enamel dotsilla.

I made these birthday cards for my eldest son who will soon turn 9. I have to say I don't know by whom these stamps are... I've had the first one for ages and I've forgotten the manufacturer and the second one I bought secondhand so I do not know the manufacturer. But anyway, I coloured both the images with my Copic markers and die cut the panels with MFT dies. For the first card, I die cut the rays behind the boy with a Create a Smile die and the letters and number with Memory Box dies. I placed a piece of patterned paper on the card base and adhered the panel to it. The boy I adhered with foam adhesives. For the second card, I masked the dragon and created the clouds with a mask and some Distress Oxide ink. I die cut the little banner with a Create a Smile die and stamped the sentiment on it (it says 'Congrats!'). I matted the panel onto some light blue cardstock and placed a piece of patterned paper behind it.

Nämä synttärikortit tein vanhimmalle pojalleni, joka täyttää piakkoin 9 vuotta. Leimasinten valmistajia en tiedä, mutta leimakuvat väritin Copiceilla ja paneelit stanssasin MFT:n stansseilla. Ensimmäisen kortin taustalle stanssasin säteet Create a Smilen stanssilla ja kirjaimet ja numerot Memory Boxin stanssilla. Taustalle hieman kuviopaperia. Toiseen korttiin maskasin lohikäärmeen ja mustetin pilvet maskin ja Distress Oxiden kanssa. Bannerin stanssasin Create a Smilen stanssilla ja leimasin siihen tekstin.

Pingviini - Penguin

Lisää pingviinejä! Tämäkin suloisuus on My Favorite Thingsin Sweet Holiday Penguins -setistä ja vesiväreillä väritetty. Taustan paneeliin stanssasin kuvion Memory Boxin stanssilla ja kiinnitin sekä paneelin että pingun kohotarroilla. Tekstileiman embossasin valkoisella jauheella.

Another penguin at large! This cutie is from the 'Sweet Holiday Penguins' set by My Favorite Things and coloured with watercolours. I die cut the circle in the red panel with a Memory Box die and adhered the panel and the penguin with foam adhesives. I then heat embossed the sentiment ('Merry Christmas and Happy New Year') with white embossing powder.

Miehen veljenpojalla oli synttärit viime kuussa ja tein hänelle tällaisen kortin. Embossasin taustaan Neat and Tangledin Time Warp -leiman kultaisella kohojauheella ja levitin päälle Distress Oxideja. Numerot stanssasin kultaisesta kartongista Memory Boxin stansseilla ja kiinnitin ne kohotarroilla pohjaan. Paneelin taustalle hieman valkoista kartonkia ja mustaan korttipohjaan kiinni.

My husband's nephew celebrated his birthday last month and I made him this card. I heat embossed Neat and Tangled stamp 'Time Warp' in gold embossing powder before sponging some Distress Oxides to create the background. I die cut the numbers out of gold cardstock with some Memory Box dies and attached them with foam adhesives. I matted the panel onto white cardstock before adhering it to black card base.

Leijaa lennättämässä - Kite flying

Unohdin postata tämän toisen synttärikortin, jonka veljenpojalleni tein (ensimmäinen oli siis tämä). Tämän hänelle antoivat isovanhempansa, joten ajattelin tehdä siitä hieman perinteisemmän. Leimakuva on Docraftsin Kite Flying, jonka väritin Zigeillä ja stanssasin irti My Favorite Thingsin stanssilla. Lisäksi korttiin laitoin vain nuo Memory Boxin stansseilla stanssatut numerot.

I made another birthday card for my nephew but forgot to post it, so here it is (this is the first one). This was given to him by his grandparents so I thought I'd make it a bit more traditional looking. The stamped image is 'Kite Flying' by Docrafts and I coloured it with my Zig Markers before die cutting the panel with a My Favorite Things die. I added the numbers die cut with Memory Box dies before attaching the panel to the card base.

Sain tilauksen 40-vuotiskortista naiselle ja päätin käyttää siihen Altenew'n ihanaa Leaf Canopy -settiä. Embossasin lehdet kullalla ja väritin Altenew'n vesiväreillä. Korttipohjaan maskasin ja mustetin Distress Oxideilla tuon raidan, johon roiskin muutaman pisaran vettä, että sain sen vähän elävämmäksi. Kun roiskimisen makuun pääsin, roiskin vielä kultasuihkettakin korttipohjaan :D Lopuksi vielä FinnStamperin tekstileima ja Memory Boxin stansseilla numerot. Lehtioksat kiinnitin vain yläreunasta korttipohjaan niin, että alareuna jäi vähän koholle.

A friend of mine needed a birthday card for her female friend who's turning 40 and I made her this. I used the gorgeous 'Leaf Canopy' set by Altenew which I heat embossed in gold and watercoloured with Altenew watercolours. For the background, I masked the stripe and sponged it with Distress Oxide ink and added a few splatters of water to it to lift the ink. After that I added a few more splatters with gold spray to the background. I then stamped my sentiment ('Congratulations' in Finnish) and added the numbers (die cut with Memory Box dies). I attached the branches with strong tape so that the lower parts are free so they are loose from the background.

Rumpalipoika - Drummer Boy

Tällaisen synttärikortin tein My Favorite Thingsin suloisella rumpalipojalla. Leimakuva on Strike Up the Band -setistä, väritin sen Copiceilla ja stanssasin irti. Taustan stanssasin Memory Boxin stanssilla, leimasin tekstin ja kiinnitin paneelin korttipohjaan.

I made a birthday card for my nephew with this cute little drummer boy. He's from the 'Strike Up the Band' set by My Favorite Things, I coloured him with my Copics and die cut him out. I die cut the background with a Memory Box die, stamped my sentiment and adhered the panel to the card base. I adhered to bunny with foam adhesives so he's a bit raised from the card base.

Isällänikin oli tässä hetki sitten synttärit ja koska kyseessä oli tasavuosisynttärit, ajattelin tehdä ihan perinteisen kortin ruusuineen ja kultanumeroineen. Leimakuva on Penny Blackin Crimson Blush, jonka väritin Zigeillä. Leimakuvan ja taustan sinisen kartongin stanssasin Pennyn Antique Frame -stansseilla ja numeron Memory Boxin stansseilla. Sitten vain jokunen paljetti koristeeksi ja korttipohjaan kohotarroilla kiinni.

My Dad had his birthday a couple of weeks ago too and I decided to go the traditional way and make him a card with roses and gold numbers. The stamped image is 'Crimson Blush' by Penny Black, I coloured it with my Zig Markers. I die cut the panels with 'Antique Frame' dies by Penny Black and the numbers with Memory Box dies. I added some sequins and attached the panels to the card blank with foam adhesives.

Supersankari - Super hero

Tässä vielä toinen perheen nuorimmalle tehty kortti, jonka hänelle antoivat isovanhempansa. Leimakuva on Tiddly Inksin My Super Boys -setistä, väritin sen Zigeillä ja leikkasin irti. Taustapaneeliin tein taas tähtiä Create a Smilen sapluunalla, leimasin tekstin ja leikkasin numeron stanssilla irti. Sitten vain kiinnitys taustapaperiin niin, että taustapaperi näkyy tuosta numeron aukosta.

This is another card I made for our son, this was given to him by his grandparents. The stamped image comes from the set 'My Super Boys' by Tiddly Inks, I coloured it with my Zig Markers and fussy cut it out. I stenciled the stars to the background with a Create a Smile stencil and some Distress Ink. I then stamped my sentiment and die cut the number out of the panel before attaching it to the background paper.

Punaista ja valkoista - Red and White

Tämän kortin tein Mama Elephantin Pix's Happy Holiday -setin leimalla, väritin sen Copiceilla, stanssasin irti ja kiinnitin kohotarroilla. Taustan valkoiseen kartonkiin stanssasin aukot Memory Boxin stanssilla. Lisäksi vain tekstileima ja muutama paljetti ja lopulta korttipohjaan kiinnitys.

This cute little critter comes from the Mama Elephant set 'Pix's Happy Holiday', I coloured her with my Copics and attached with foam adhesives. I die cut the background panel with a Memory Box die, stamped my sentiment ('Merry Christmas & Happy New Year' in Finnish) and added some red sequins before attaching it to a red cardbase.

Puu - Tree

Taas simppeli joulukortti, tällä kertaa Penny Blackin leimoilla. Puun leimasin valkoisella musteella ja Majestic-leimalla MFT:n stanssilla stanssattuun pohjaan. Lisäsin siihen pienen lintusen (Memory Boxin stanssilla stanssattu) ja muutaman Nuvo Drops -tipan. Tekstileiman laitoin MFT:n stanssilla stanssattuun banneriin ja kiinnitin koko paneelin kohotarroilla korttipohjaan, johon olin leimannut Happy Berries -leimalla ja kimaltavalla Versamarkilla taustan.

I made this Christmas cards with some lovely Penny Black stamps. The tree is a stamp called 'Majestic', I stamped it with glittery white ink on a panel that I had die cut with a My Favorite Things die. I added a teeny tiny bird that I had die cut with a Memory Box die and some Nuvo Drops in different colours to the tree. I stamped my sentiment (it says 'Peaceful Christmas' in Finnish) on a vellum banner that I die cut again with a My Favorite Things die. I stamped my card base with a 'Happy Berries' stamp and some glittery Versamark ink and then attached the panel on it with some foam adhesives.

Halauksia ja iloisia aatoksia - Hugs and happy thoughts

Ulkona on sateista ja harmaata, joten ankeutta piristämään näytille nyt kukkakortti, jonka tein tädilleni. Käytin tähän WPlus9:n Modern Anemones -setin kukkia, jotka väritin Copiceilla. Osan kukista kiinnitin tarrapaloilla hieman koholle. Taustalle stanssasin aukot Memory Boxin stanssilla ja leimasin Altenew'n tekstileiman. Koristeiksi laitoin muutaman tipan Nuvo Dropsia.

It's grey and rainy outside so I thought I'd try and brighten the day by showing you a flower card I made for my aunt. I chose to use the flowers from the 'Modern Anemones' set by WPlus9 which I coloured with my Copics. I attached some of the flowers with foam adhesives for a bit of 3D effect. I die cut the background with a Memory Box die and stamped the Altenew sentiment in black. Lastly, I added a few drops of Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Kettu repolainen - Fox

Kevät on meillä varsinaista synttäriaikaa, on veljenpoikien ja oman pojan synttäreitä, joten poikakortteja tulee tehtyä. Tässä 10 vuotta täyttäneelle veljenpojalle tehty kortti, jonka hänelle antoivat isovanhempansa. Leimakuvana tässä on DoodleFactoryn kettu, jonka väritin Copiceilla, leikkasin irti ja kiinnitin tarrapaloilla. Taustalle stanssasin ikkunan My Favorite Thingsin Rectangle Peek-a-Boo Window -stanssilla ja sen keskustaan lisäsin palan kuviopaperia. Lisänä vain stanssatut numerot ja onnitteluteksti.

In my family, spring is the time of birthdays. Three of my four nephews have their birthday in spring as does my son, so I make a lot of boy cards! I made this card for my nephew who turned 10, it was given to him by his grandparents. I stamped the DoodleFactory fox, coloured him with my Copics, fussy cut him out and attached with foam adhesives. For the background I die cut the window using 'Rectangle Peek-a-Boo Window' die by My Favorite Things and added a piece of patterned paper to it. I then added the die cut numbers and the sentiment ('Congrats!' in Finnish).

Seitsemän - Seven

Perheemme esikoinen täytti viime viikolla 7 vuotta ja tein hänelle tämän kortin. Lahjaksi annoimme uuden pyörän, joten korttiin käytin sitten tätä Lili of the Valley'n Riding My Bike -leimaa. Väritin leimakuvan Distress Markereilla ja stanssasin paneelin irti Simon Says Stampin ommelreunastanssilla. Lisäsin leimakuvaan pieniä Liquid Pearls -tippoja kuvaamaan lentävää soraa, tekstileiman ja numeron. Sitten vain hieman kuviopaperia ja kartonkia kerrostamaan leimakuvaa ja kortti oli valmis.

Our eldest son turned 7 last week and I made him this card. We gave him a new bike for his birthday so I decided to make the card using the 'Riding My Bike' stamp by Lili of the Valley. I coloured it with my Distress Markers and added a few tiny drops of Liquid Pearls to represent flying gravel (you've gotta bike fast, right? ;) ). I die cut the panel with the stitched edge die by Simon Says Stamp, added the sentiment (something like 'Congrrrrrats!' in Finnish) and the die cut number. I then layered the image with some blue cardstock and some patterned paper, and the card was done.

Merkkipäivänä - On your special day

Pikainen postaus tälle illalle, että ehdin osallistua tällä kortilla Less is More -haasteeseen. Haasteena oli siis luonnos, jonka mukaan tämän kortin tein (käänsin vain luonnosta tavallaan peilikuvaksi). Leimakuva on Altenew'n Beautiful Day -setistä Gansai Tambi -vesiväreillä väritettynä. Kukan kohotin pohjasta kohotarroilla. Tekstileima on Dekoretten ja taustan viivat stanssasin Memory Boxin Straight Stitches -stanssilla. Koristeena muutama Nuvo Crystal Drops -tippa.

Just a quick post from me today so I can enter my card to the current Less is More challenge. I followed the sketch given to make this card but I kind of flipped it around and made it in mirror image. I used Altenew's 'Beautiful Day' stamps and dies for my focal point, coloured them with my Gansai Tambi watercolours and attached to the base (the flower is attached with foam adhesives for a little extra interest). The sentiment says 'On your special day' in Finnish and the lines in the background I made with a Memory Box die 'Straight Stitches'. I also added a few drops of Nuvo Crystal Drops to my card

Konepellin alla - Under the Bonnet

Toinen synttärikortti meidän pian 4-veelle, tämän hänelle antavat isovanhempansa. Leimakuva tässäkin on Lili of the Valley'n, nimeltään Under the Bonnet. Väritin sen Distress Markereilla, stanssasin Simon Says Stampin ommelreunastanssilla ja kiinnitin siniseen paperiin, jonka stanssasin Spellbindersin stanssilla. Kiinnitin kuvan korttipohjaan tarrapaloilla hieman koholle. Taustapaperi on Echo Parkia, lisänä tekstileima ja stanssattu numero (Memory Box).

Here's another birthday card for our soon-to-be 4-year-old, this will be given to him by his grandparents. The stamped image is once again by Lili of the Valley and it's called 'Under the Bonnet'. I coloured it with my Distress Markers, die cut out with Simon Says Stamp's stitched squares die, and matted onto a piece of cardstock die cut with a Spellbinders die. I then attached the whole thing onto the card with some foam adhesives, so it is a bit raised. The background paper is by Echo Park, the number is die cut with a Memory Box die, and the sentiment says 'Congrats!' in Finnish.
