Central America Summer Adventure...

I’m in for a treat—an unforgettable adventure through Central America! 

This vibrant land calls with the roar of waterfalls, the sway of palm trees, and the colors of bustling markets spilling onto cobblestone streets. Our route will carry us from the mighty Panama Canal to Costa Rica’s misty rainforests alive with birdcalls, the vibrant heart of Mexico with its spices and melodies, and the timeless rhythm of Cuba where music drifts through the warm night air. Even the return journey promises surprise detours - Caracas and Istanbul - reminding me that the spirit of adventure is found not just in the destinations, but in every twist along the way.


This 20-day journey is more than just ticking places off a list - it’s a chance to soak in new experiences and stories along the way. Since some of the destinations we’re heading to have limited internet coverage, I may not be able to update the blog daily. But rest assured, the adventures will find their way here, even if a little later.

Caucasus Trip: The road less ventured...

I had discarded my old walking boots and replaced them with brand new ones, lighter and comfortable...

Hubby and I will be on the road again. We will be away for about three weeks, joining a small group of frequent travellers to explore some places of interest in Georgia, Armenia, Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan in the first two weeks.

The final week, Hubby and I will split from the group. We plan to travel by bus or train to Bulgaria and visit the capital city of Sofia. We will stay in Sofia for a few days, then travel to Istanbul for a free and easy activity before we board the plane back home.

The trip is going to be very hectic with a lot of walking. My last visit to the specialist, I complained of pain in my heels. My doctor's early diagnosis was Plantar Fasciitis. The walking activity will either cure my painful heels or will make them worst.

I am praying for the best...

The Aegean Sea Cruise, Athens & Turkey Tour

We are going for a holiday again… yeay!

This time we are going for a cruise on the Aegean Sea. The calling ports of our Aegean Sea cruise will be a few picturesque islands full of history and blessed with beauty. We will be visiting the Greek islands of Patmos, Crete, Santorini and Mykonos and have the opportunity to stop in Athens, the capital city of Greece and visit the Acropolis, Parthenon and Propylea and other ancient monuments.

After the cruise we’ll tour around east Turkey, visiting the towns of Izmir, Kusadasi, Pamukkale, Bursa and Istanbul.

This is not our first trip to Greece and Turkey.

Copper Craft

The era that ended the Stone Age more than 7000 years ago was none other than 'the Copper Age', where Copper could be mined, smelted and worked as the first metal known to mankind. For this, Copper holds a very specific position in relation to Mankind as a whole.

Since then, the first societies to work Copper never gave up their superior hand on Coppersmithing to any other. As of today, the ultimate Copper craftsmanship finds place in Turkey, India, Pakistan, Iran and Syria. As for the traditional Ottoman way of crafting and hammering copper, one can only encounter it in Modern Day Turkey and Syria.

I was in Turkey in December 1996, April 2012, April 2016 and May 2018.
