How do I schedule a moovez job?
Scheduling a Moovez job is quick and easy, whether you’re using our mobile app or visiting moovez.ca. Here’s how to get started:
Choose Your Job Type. We offer four options to suit your needs:
– Delivery: Perfect for furniture, appliances, donations, or FB Marketplace/Kijiji pickups. These jobs typically take about an hour, including 15-20 minutes for loading and unloading.
– Moving: Ideal for apartments, condos, homes, offices, or junk removal. Pricing is hourly, based on vehicle size and number of movers. Ideal for full moves or jobs lasting more than an hour.
– Movers: When you need muscle without the truck. Ideal for labour only jobs like rearranging furniture, loading, or unloading a truck or shipping container.
– Business: Tailored solutions for commercial requirements.
Read the descriptions carefully and select the job type that best matches your requirements.

– Pickup and Drop-off locations: Include additional stops if there are multiple pickups or deliveries.
– Vehicle type: Select the right vehicle based on your load.

Confirm Your Booking:
Once your job details are submitted, we’ll match you with a qualified Moover. You’ll receive a confirmation via email or text, depending on whether you booked through our website or mobile app.
When does moovez operate?
Moovez operates 7 days a week to ensure you get the help you need, when you need it. For the highest response rates, we recommend booking jobs between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. While we do accommodate jobs outside these hours to fit your busy schedule, please note that there may be fewer operators available, which could affect response times.
Our goal is to provide flexible service hours, allowing you to schedule deliveries or moves from early mornings to late evenings. Whether you’re in Calgary or anywhere in Alberta, Moovez is here to make your moving and delivery experience as convenient as possible!
What can moovez move or deliver?
Moovez specializes in moving and delivering a wide variety of items, from furniture and household goods to business equipment and packages. However, we do have a few exclusions for safety and logistical reasons.
Our main exclusions include: –
Hazardous Materials: Includes flammable, toxic, or otherwise dangerous substances.
– Illegal Items: Anything prohibited by law for transportation.
– Specialty or Heavy Items: Items like heavy machinery, pianos, pool tables, hot tubs, or other items that require specialized equipment.
– Perishable Goods: Food or other items that can spoil during transit may be restricted.
– High-Value Items: Jewelry, cash, or other high value items might have specific restrictions.
For these items, we recommend hiring specialized movers who have the tools and expertise to handle them safely and efficiently.
How much does a moovez job cost?
Moovez offers transparent and competitive pricing tailored to the type of job you require.
Here’s a breakdown of our pricing model with examples to help you plan your next move or delivery:
1. Delivery Jobs: Pricing for deliveries is determined by:
– Vehicle Type: Choose a vehicle suited to your load.
– Number of Movers: Specify how many helpers are needed.
– Distance: Calculated between pickup and drop-off locations.
Our system provides an instant quote based on these factors, and payment is only processed once the job is completed successfully. Note that our delivery service is designed for 1–5 items, with a maximum loading and unloading time of 15-20 minutes. These jobs should be completed in approximately one hour.
– Example: Pickup Truck Delivery with 1 Mover, covering a distance of 15km: Subtotal: $55.00
Base Fare: $9.00
Distance Fee (15km): $13.50
Base Service Fee: $2.50
Labour Surcharge: $30.00 GST (5%): $2.75
Total: $57.75
2. Moving Jobs: For larger jobs requiring longer loading times, pricing is based on work time plus a flat travel rate of 30 minutes for intra-city moves. Ensure the selected vehicle fits your items by reviewing our vehicle specifications.
– Example: 26ft Moving Truck with 2 Moovers, 2 hours work time + 30 minutes travel time:
Hourly Rate: $125 (per hour for 26ft Truck with 2 Moovers)
Calculation: $125 x 2.5 hours = $312.50
GST (5%): $15.63
Total: $328.13
3. Movers Jobs: For jobs requiring muscle but no truck, such as moving furniture within a house or unloading a shipping container, pricing is also based on work time and a 30-minute travel rate.
– Example: 2 Movers, 1.5 hours work time + 30 minutes travel time:
Hourly Rate: $90 (for 2 Movers)
Calculation: $90 x 2 hours = $180.00
GST (5%): $9.00
Total: $189.00
4. Business Deliveries: We provide customized solutions for businesses. Simply fill out our Business Delivery Sign-Up Form to share your needs, and a Customer Service representative will reach out within 24 hours.
Do I need to be at the pickup location or destination?
No, you don’t need to be present at either the pickup location or the destination. However, for larger items like couches, it requires two people to load and unload. If you book only one mover, please ensure that someone is available to assist at both the pickup and drop-off locations. This helps us ensure a smooth and efficient moving process.
Also, if no one is at the drop-off location, you will need to indicate where you’d like our movers to leave the items.
If you’re scheduling an in-store or curbside pickup, you can simply wait at home while our movers handle the pickup of your items. Just be sure to attach a photocopy of your receipt when scheduling the delivery.
If you’re donating items or scheduling a junk removal job, you don’t need to accompany us to the destination. We’ll take care of it for you. However, for donations, we do ask that you confirm with the donation center that they are accepting the items you wish to donate. Sometimes they have reached storage capacity and will not accept any new items.
Will moovez disassemble/assemble my items?
Our movers come equipped with basic tools needed for most disassembly/assembly work. However, if your items require special tools, please have them prepared for our movers. Please note that complicated and highly technical disassembly/assembly jobs are outside the scope of our service.
If your job requires disassembly or assembly, please submit a Moving or Movers job. Delivery jobs are designed for fast, simple transportation, and loading should take no longer than 15-20 minutes. Jobs that require disassembly and/or assembly, with loading time included, typically take more than that to complete.
We want to ensure that we provide the best service possible, so we ask that you please submit your job accurately so that we can assign the appropriate resources and pricing. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact our customer service team.
What will the movers bring?
The Moovers come prepared with basic equipment to ensure a smooth and efficient moving or delivery experience. This includes:
– Dollies: For safely transporting heavy or bulky items.
– Straps: To secure your belongings during transport.
– Blankets: For protecting furniture and delicate items.
– Tools: For disassembling and assembling furniture if needed.
Helpful Tips for a Hassle-Free Move
To ensure the best experience, we recommend:
– Boxing your items: Pack your belongings securely in advance. If you need packing services please reach out to us and we can help with that.
– Extra protection: Wrap fragile or valuable items with bubble wrap or packing paper.
– Special Covers: Use mattress covers or similar products to protect large items.

Currently, the Moovez platform accepts bookings for Calgary and the surrounding areas. We also handle jobs throughout Alberta and even out of province. For these long-distance moves or deliveries, please reach out by phone or email, and a member of our team will discuss your specific needs and provide a customized quote.

When will my items arrive?
Delivery times depend on the type of service you choose, the distance between pickup and drop-off locations, and the availability of our Moovers. For most Calgary and surrounding area jobs, we aim to complete deliveries and moves within the same day or as per the scheduled time slot you select during booking.
For long-distance or out-of-province jobs, estimated arrival times will be provided as part of your custom quote, ensuring clear expectations upfront.
