Hello and welcome

Welcome back to a new challenge over at Happy Little Stampers –  Anything Goes with Dies – September.  I hope you’ll join in the fun this month!

My card today uses some lovely rainbow colours.

It started with watercoloured rainbow across a panel of card.

Once it was completely dry, it was die cut using Pink Fresh Stacked Edges 1 Dies and then covered with Glossy Accents.

Next was die cutting ‘Smiles’ with Winnie & Walter -‘The Big, the Bold and Friends Cutaways with black card before being black heat embossed.

Last was stamping, water colouring and fussy cutting a little bear from MFT – Bitty Bears.

Each of these elements was then added to the card front.

I hope you like this little cutie! It’s perfect for friends who need a little  something to brighten their day!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge – June 2026

Hello and welcome

I’m back with a reminder for the Challenge over at Penny Black Saturday June Challenge!  The theme  is  Anything Goes (Optional -Use Patterned Papers!))

This time I decided to have fun with die cutting Patterned Paper using the PB – Lovely Birthday Cut Out die set. I was so pleased to finally use this set I’ve had for a few years.

When I looked in my scrap box I found a wonderful piece of desinger paper with lots of wonderfu patterns on it so I could cut lots of different pieces to use it for the cake pieces. There was also the pretty piece of scripty paper and a piece of dark brown fabric look paper.

The flower decorations used a section of PB – Flower Frolic die cut from gold paper.

The little sentiment on the tag is from PB – Just for You stamp set.

The beautiful butterfly is from the original piece of designer paper.

Sadly the photo didn’t show how pretty the gloss rose gold card used for the candles and cake stand or even how pretty the textures brown paper is.

We are joined by Sherri Schmidt, winner of Time Out #310, as Guest Designer. Sherri is a talented card maker and a frequent player at Time Out. She posts her work on Flickr as Sherrisonline. Even if you are not a Flickr member, you can still view her gallery. 

I chose Ice-cream, Summer and Sun. It also makes me think of a vacation when you have extra time to enjoy them all! ( Can you find the sun in the background?)

My card features an older Concord & 9th stamp set – Here’s the Scoop! Lots of fun and the first time it’s been used. It was watercoloured using Distress ink and lots of Wink of Stella for shine. (So sad they don’t show up in photos:()

It was then added to a circle of vellum and then the beautiful Designer Paper background with that wonderful summer feel!

The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Time for the new June Challenge over at Penny Black Saturday June Challenge!  The theme  is  Anything Goes (Optional -Use Patterned Papers!)

I tried something different this time by stamping on some white spot patterned paper with PB – Trailing Beauty. It was then coloured using Prismacolor pencils.

The PB die cut – Just for you was cut twice using white card for contrast.

I wasn’t sure about what to feature with this challenge, but I love the beach and enjoying a cold drink on a hot day looking out at the beach. I hope I’ve captured that in this card. Summer is certainly my favourite time of year!

The background stamps are from Newton’s Snook – Cocktail Mixer stamp set and the front image and senitment is from Newton’s Nook – Summer Moments.

Both are watercoloured with Distress inks.

I’m back with a reminder for the Challenge over at Penny Black Saturday May Challenge!  The theme  is  Anything Goes (Optional – Your Favourite Penny Black Stamp!)

Certainly not an easy task to pick a favourite from all the wonderful Penny Black stamps!!

Eventually I settled on this beautiful image – Tulip Bouquet, a wood block stamp and one of my first when I started stamping. It was watercoloured using Distress inks.

We are joined by Cindy Chiu of Escape To Stamping as our Guest Designer for this challenge. Cindy’s project received Honorable Mention for Time Out #308.

I went with the idea of the voice being perfect for making music! For that reason I used the fun Penny Black stamp – Sing. Although it is a Christmas stamp, I chose to use non traditional Christmas colours, but fun happy brights!

The background features a Cuttlebug Music Embossing Folder and some pretty DP.
