 Today, human beings favor a scientific view of the world, which gives priority to the exploration of nature, to the study of the physical world, which lies outside them, or serves only as the material envelope of their deepest selves. As a result, people are removing themselves to the periphery of their being. They do not realize that they are losing their center, the essential core of their being which not only holds them in equilibrium, but links them to the Source of universal life. Of course, there is no law against seeing the universe as a vast field of investigation and experimentation that the Creator has put at their disposition. But it is not by devoting themselves to the study of physics, chemistry, biology, zoology, astronomy, and so on, that they will taste the divine life. While they are so busy satisfying their curiosity, their life passes and their strength diminishes. |
