At the chair of Quantum Information Theory, led by Prof. M. Walter, we explore how quantum systems encode, process, and transmit information, and how these principles enable fundamentally new forms of computation and communication. Our work develops the theoretical foundations of quantum information science, with applications ranging from quantum algorithms to secure quantum networks, and from new descriptions of complex quantum systems to interdisciplinary problems across mathematics, physics, and computer science.

We cordially invite you to get to know our team and to learn more about our research.
