Our distinction is based on format, not quality.
A strong article does not need to be long. Some ideas are best developed through extensive analysis; others are more powerful when communicated clearly and efficiently. AI Advances Briefs provides a home for the latter.

Article Length
AI Advances Briefs is designed primarily for shorter, focused articles.
As a general guideline, articles should typically fall within approximately a 4–10 minute read.
For longer, deeply developed articles, particularly those exceeding approximately a 10-minute read, authors may consider submitting to AI Advances.

AI tools may assist writers with research, editing, brainstorming, or improving clarity. However, articles should reflect meaningful human authorship, judgment, and original thought.
We do not publish mass-produced, low-effort, or substantially automated content created primarily for volume.
Authors are responsible for verifying all facts, citations, quotations, and sources contained in their submissions.
Previously Published Work
We strongly prefer unpublished drafts submitted directly to the publication rather than stories that have already been published independently on Medium.
Submitting a draft allows our editors to review the story before publication and helps maximize its distribution through the publication.
How to Submit
Before submitting, follow AI Advances Briefs on Medium. Our publication accepts submissions from writers who follow the publication.
Once you are following us:
- Open the draft or story you would like to submit and enter Edit mode.
- Click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
- Select Submit to publication.
- Under the Following tab, select AI Advances Briefs.
- Click Send for review.
One of our editors will review your submission and determine whether it is a good fit for the publication within 24 hours.
You do not need to complete a writer application first. If you would like us to add you as an approved writer so that you can have three active submissions at a time, please fill out this form.
We strongly recommend submitting an unpublished draft rather than publishing the story independently before submission.

Our editorial team may revise the submitted text as needed for clarity, style, and social media presentation before posting.
