how we got started !

MareBears was first born in the midst of unemployment in 2024. The idea began during the MLP infection AU era of Tik Tok. It was such an amazing, creative trend that we wanted to join in on. While we put together a plot in a random nearby Arby's, we soon began working on our own characters; Lulu Doll and Lyla Star. After the infection AU trend wore off, we still continued our project creating our own pony universe together. After both of us finding a new job, Marebears was put on the back burner. I, Nina, continued creating new characters in my spare time and soon enough MB became my passion project again. Juno was looped back in soon after and we created what you all see today: MareBears.
